Good value for money. If you want just a nice tradicional meal not very elaborated but tasty it's a good option in Vila Franca de Xira. Several options for main dishes and desearsts and 2 rooms. Only remark is a little slow service.

After almost 30 years, the opportunity arose to return to a restaurant I regularly frequented.
I saw Mr. Isaías again, who remained friendly and very attentive to us!
I remembered the taste of river shrimp, which I really missed, and the main dish was the goat, which was excellent!

Very friendly and pleasant staff. Delicious fried pork kidneys, very pleasant bottled house wine, as for the shad, which was what brought me to this restaurant, it was barely fried which meant that all the bones were noticeable.

Different evening at O Retiro (Vila Franca de Xira).
We booked because otherwise we wouldn't have found a place.
We took advice from the friendly, well-prepared and brilliant dining room staff.
We ate (and drank) very well and paid the right amount.
It deserves to be tried.
