Wow, what a meal. Simply the best pork ribs and lamb loin chops we have ever had. The service was perfect. Everyone was so friendly. We would go out of our way to eat here again. Been Camino from your New Zealand friends

Used to be great but has closed as the family retired due to aging. It has reopen but with a different name and management. My classification has nothing to do with the new one - which unfortunately I haven’t visited yet- nor the old one, just giving a heads up about this update.

We walked over to this small, clean place. Most of the tables were taken. The food was good, and the service was efficient and no hurry and we tasted a good wine. Limited desert selection

Excellent food. We went here multiple times. It is small but the food definitely makes up for it. The Frango is the best. Very busy at lunchtime.

If there is the best, why go to the worst. This is the old Galo Canoa.
Sunday lunch without reservation but with luck...getting a table without stress.
Food from Ribatejo, shad with bread and cod torricado, a feast day version of the traditional torricado.
Red house wine, cracking pudding. Attentive and friendly service. Congratulations! Keep it up!!!

Now called "O Galo da Vila", it has very good cuisine, correct and polite service.
