Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Being of Mexican American decent I often look for the taste of real homemade Mexican food. I found the perfect balance of intelligent thoughtful flavors with the authentic flavor build up I know as home. I’m excited of this discovery and invite everyone to the...REAL taste of Mexico. 🇲🇽🌮💀More

My family wanted to celebrate my birthday, so we went to taco loco, and I have never eaten a taco that were so good like this. The place is awesome and the attendance was great too.

Really great Mexican. The staff are quick and on a night where the kitchen was a bit over run they gave us a “thank you for understanding” plate of tasty nachos. We left content with bare plates. I’ll go again.

Great service, tasty generous mexican portions. Basic rustic Cantina style setting, the outdoor area is close to cars parked in the driveway which detracts a little. Good George beer on tap. 👍 It's not cheap Mexican food (particularly entrees) but overall a good experience, will...come back.More

Having moved to NZ after living over 25 years in Los Angeles finding a decent actual Mexican food has been a journey. A great unique location in Auckland with the decor that reminds you of Mexico. I love the atmosphere and the Mexicans who work...there delivering great flavors! If you're itching for a taste of Mexico while visiting Auckland, be sure to add this to your list of musts!More

Worst Tacos I’ve ever had in my LIFE! The buffalo wings were just deep fried charred wings.. no buffalo sauces! Definitely not recommend.. super overpriced.. $15 for 3 bite sized tacos? Disgusting!

Love this place. Friendly staff with relaxed vibe and great food. Coffee here is also excellent and fast service in mornings too. Nice little outside area at the back with a small play area for kids.

Delicious and authentic Mexican street food, and a fun and authentic looking environment. Went here with a friend and I had the fish tacos (again😁), and my friend had vegetarian nachos - both were very tasty, the salsa is superb! Of course we had to...follow that with some yum churros- would be rude not to right? I also had a delightful hibiscus drink, which I last drank in Mexico, and as far as I can remember, tasted just as good as it did then! Great choice of seating areas too - outside in the garden area, inside the incredibly decorated eatery, or outside on the forecourt. Can’t say enough about the place really. Except perhaps a little pricey for street food, but it is delicious!More

So nice to finally find a real Mexican restaurant in NZ! Really yummy—everything. Stumbled across this place on a bike ride, and was very pleasantly surprised! Best tacos 🌮 around, worth the trip from any part of town! We will be back, and it’s about...45 minutes away in the car! We had empanadas and quesadillas and burritos with negra modelo beer and jarritos-so awesome!More

I come here several times per week for the excellent Coffee Lab coffee as you can drive in and out (it was an old gas station) and the coffee is great. A Mexican friend of mine told me I had to come here for the...Pulled Beef Quesadilla. It was a sunny Sunday lunch and the tables outside were filling up. We ordered the Quesadilla and chicken taco's. The Taco's come on an authentic homemade corn tortilla but didn't have a huge amount of flavour. The Quesadilla on the other hand was full of flavour and come with a good salsa. The Cocktails going to other patrons looked amazing so when my dry February is over I'll be back.More

$23.50 for five prawns and a pile of floppy salad leaves was disappointing. The menu advertised a "unique dressing" but all I could taste was pure garlic. Raw garlic. Nothing but garlic. Totally ruined my night, having a mouthful of garlic for hours. I'd have...happily shared my thoughts with staff, had they asked me how the meal was, but they didn't so I'm sharing it here.More

We had dinner here the food was nice but a little expensive for street food atmosphere they serve alcohol so it was nice to have a hot mulled wine with dinner, we where told we could not use the cutlery (that was sitting on the...counter) and only plastic forks which I would then except not to pay restaurant prices to dine at such a place . overall I can not fault the food, but it didn't WOW me and my friends also seemed to enjoy it in fact one has already returned. I think I will give it another try at some stage as it is local to meMore
