While the hospitality industry remains "closed" due to COVID it is great news to see a new opening in Sherston. Avi and the team at The Bridge should be applauded and supported for opening a new restaurant in these times. Whilst we cant dine in at the moment I have to claim that this is one of the best takeaway curries I have enjoyed (and there have been many......!). Paneer Chilli to start and Chicken Lababdar as a main course were both excellent along with the Chicken Chattinad. Whilst we collected, we learnt that they deliver within an 8 mile radius and orders should be placed early to avoid disappointment as they can get very busy (unsurprisingly) - well done team Bridge

This restaurant is extraordinary. We actually have come back tonight on New Year’s Day after trying it for the first time 4 days ago, when we arrived for our stay in Westonbirt, which is the next village to Sherston. The owner Avid is such a gentleman and so knowledgable about his cuisine and helpful to recommend. We live in London and in all these years we have never come across such a delectable, flavoursome Indian meal / the spices don’t dominate and flavours literally melt on the tip of your tongue. The presentation is also second to none. We will be recommending to our friends both here and in London. Thank you, the Bridge for two lovely evenings out here.

This was our first outing after Covid and we were not disappointed by the amazing food at The Bridge. Absolutely faultless fare. Not entirely sure they have nailed the atmosphere or the service, but then face coverings and social distancing do tend to put a dampener on things. But when it comes to the food, it is nothing short of brilliant - well done!

Ate here before so decided to revisit after a day out and I wish we never bothered! The service was awful, we waited a long time for our drinks and for our order to be taken. Then waited a long time for our food. And there was only 1 other table dining. I then sent my duck dish back as the meat was very tough and fatty , then reordered a prawn dish which looked like big chunks of fat . And also tasted awful. My children ordered a Chicken korma and the meat was also tough. As we paid the bill there was a ÂŁ7 service charge added which they refused to remove . I strongly advise not to eat here. The decor was awful as were the Toilets and the waiter kept spraying febreeze around the restaurant!

This was my 3rd time trying the Bridge for a takeaway curry with delivery. Unfortunately my last. The previous two orders were underwhelming but I thought I would give it one final shot. Its expensive; around ÂŁ35 with delivery for one person. This includes 1 main curry, 1 rice, 4 x poppadoms, and 1 x nan. I didnt go for a vegetable side order. The Vindaloo curry was average, I didnt look cooked out properly, no separation of oils, with the sauce being thick and almost cornflour thickened. The chicken was a mix between a couple of chunks which were tender and the rest chewy. Small amounts of meat also with the majority of the curry consisting of potatoes. The pilau rice was bizarre. Thick and overseasoned with almost it's own sauce. No fluffiness to it at all, never quite had rice like this. The nan was nice but unfortunately the poppadoms tasted stale with the onion salad having no flavour at all to it - just a bland fridge taste. I'm not sure if dining in the restaurant would be better but I cant justify ÂŁ35 for a lacklustre meal for one when this would be approximately 75% of the cost of a weekly supermarket shop. Delivery was also 2 hours when quoted order time was 1hr 15mins. I wish the Bridge the best but I wont be ordering again; the value and quality of the food is just not there or too hit and miss.

In November 2023, I booked a table, visa them website online form, for 2 at 1pm for Tuesday, 19th December, 2023. On 14th December, 2023, I emailed to confirm this booking and received a reply confirming it too. On 19th December 2023, at 1pm we arrived for our "Christmas meal", only to be told on arrival that they only do lunchtime meals on Sundays, so we must haver made a mistake! No apology. We found somewhere else to eat. Later we received an email apology and mention of an 'investigation' and offer of 'complimentary drinks'! No way are we ever returning here! TBH we also found the interior to be very drab and in desperate need of a refurbishment, so probably it worked in our favour!

Just had a takeaway from Here, Lamb dhansak, sauce as pure tomato purée , very few lentils, spicy but no depth of flavour.the lamb was dry and obviously not fresh. I love chips with my curry ( don’t judge) but these were undercooked soggy and stale . Unfortunate as we are not blessed with quality Asian food in the immediate area so they are really missing an opportunity. We will not return, yes it was that bad

My wife and I were dining with friends, one of whom had booked the venue with the promise that we would have a pleasant experience. The staff were very courteous and attentive. There were a few order misunderstandings which were quickly rectified. Food was served promptly and efficiently. Although it was comparatively quiet, there seemed to be an excess of staff which involved patrolling past the table whilst we were eating. We were asked at least twice if everything was to out liking. I was asked if I required a further liquid refreshment as did my friend, following which the whole table recieved a round. Two of our group didn't require a further drink but accepted anyway. We were offered dessert, with only two options being available because 'The supplier had not delivered'. Unpreturbed we ordered one of the two options available, which subsequently turned out to be unavailable to one of our party. An option was offered which was accepted. On completion of the meal, there was a definite impression that we were expected to leave, with more patrolling and looks at the table more often than I could count. This was in spite of it being very quiet, and there being a plentiful availability of tables. The only food criticisms were from my wife, who was not impressed with the Chicken Korma, saying that it was lacking substance (other than the chicken) and was comparable to the textue of semolina. Nan breads were very small in comparison to other Indian restaurants I have visited. They were also cut into quarters rather than being served whole. When we left, we were politely thanked for our custom but had the impression that perhaps we had overstayed our welcome. Not relaxing.

This restaurant was a pub until very recently. Situated in the lovely village of Sherston, this restaurant was a lovely find. As well as doing all the regular foods that you get in other Indian restaurants, they do other dishes as well. We both tried dishes we had never seen before and both were very good. The restaurant has a pleasant feel to it and the staff are friendly and helpful. You wont be disappointed if you come here.

Only had an Indian takeaway from here but it was superb, certainly the best in the area outside of Bristol/Bath city centres. Simple and easy web ordering/payment form, and on pickup the place looked so welcoming that we will certainly go here for a sit-down meal soon. An all round great experience.

Extremely good meal for a group of 4. Extensive menu with a wide variety of food. The service was first rate. Only some of the meals on the menu show the chilli symbols showing the degree of heat. It would be helpful if this was shown for all dishes as one dish was hotter than expected. Overall a very good experience and we would visit again if we were in the area.

We were with a large party for a family birthday. A variety of meals were well received by two generations and the standard of all was first class and all courses were enjoyed by everyone. Thank you for providing a convivial atmosphere and excellent food for our celebration.

Worth seeking out. An exceptional treat in this small Cotswold town. Wide range of curries and other dishes served by welcoming staff. Very reasonably priced for the excellent quality. Worth a detour and, for special occasions, a journey. About 15 minutes from the M4, either J17 or J18, not far from Malmesbury, Westonbirt, Highgrove, Tetbury and the south Cotswolds. Also provides takeaway and local delivery.

We’ve just moved to Sherston and ordered for the first time. The food is incredible, so so good, I even phoned the restaurant to thank them for such an excellent meal. I had the chicken tikka dhansak which was spicy and oh so tasty, the chicken is good quality too. My wife had the madras which was also excellent. We love chips with a curry, great portion and they were great, the onion Bhaji was sublime, good portion size. The poppadoms as well, sauces aren’t always great but I had the mint yoghurt, lime pickle, and mango chutney, all were amazing. We will 100% be eating again, and regularly. This was takeaway, but next time we’ll be dining in for sure. I honestly could not recommend it enough.
