Kawana Surf Life Saving Club relies heavily on the support of the local community and tourists. Profits through meals, the bar, and gaming all go back onto the beach in the form of life saving equipment. Your patronage directly helps keep the beach safer. Small Club Big Impression

For a small Club everything else is big!! Atmosphere, service, food and staff. We have been members since 2013 and have watched this Club develop into one of the best family venues we have seen. Everyone from staff to members are friendly and greet you no matter how long since we have been. If you are visiting the Sunshine Coast make sure you include it for a visit and a meal and if you live on the Coast, join. This Club supporting lifesaving here deserves all our support

Fantastic!

Loved our visit today at the Surf Club and what a wonderful pork roast, at $12 it was great value. Beautiful outlook onto the grass and amazing service by Brett and Carla. Thanks Steve for the pork roast! I’ll definitely be back!!

Great food excellent service

We were very impressed with both the food and service at the club tonight. We came with our 4 year old and staff were so friendly and organised colouring in for our son. We ordered from the specials : beef nachos and sweet potato gnocchi, they were delicious. Kids meals are cheap and good quality. I would highly recommend Kawana Surf Club to anyone looking for a family friendly night out.

Couldn’t hear the person sitting next to me

We’re not at a concert! That was my final my plea to one of the staff, in an attempt to have something been done about the volume of the two piece female band during our family dinner. I couldn’t hear the person next to me talking . Their shrill voices added to the bad acoustics made our dinner unbearable... plus the meals took over an hour 10mins to arrive (despite it not being busy). We choose that venue thinking it would be chilled and intimate. Unfortunately not.

Easy going, straight forward

Easy going, straight forward surf club. Katana isn’t like Noosa, Mooloolaba or Caloundra, but a new chef is brining a whole new vigour to the great, generous meals available here. This is a real find if you’re looking for an easy going evening out!

A great Alice of Australiana

After living in the US for 20 years one of the things we missed most was the small Australian club. Having moved back to Australia late last year we found and became members of the Kawana Surf Club. It has all the things we missed: intimacy, good beer and wine, and great food. During lockdown it became our Sunday takeaway and is now our Sunday sit-down. The food here is a cut above standard club fare though you'll find your favourites here too. I think their specialty is the fish which is always cooked perfectly and accompanied by different and interesting sides. Last night's crispy Asian salad and chilli-based sauce accompaniments were terrific. We've enjoyed all the meals here since our return. The small club is an icon of Australia with locals having a place to come to without being lost in a corporate gaming venue. Good entertainment, games of trivia, and supporting the local RSL subbranch and the life savers who keep our beaches safe: what's not to like?

I ate at the Club last night and while I found the staff to be very friendly and the service good, the food was very much below par. I had eaten at the club earlier in the year and the food was ok. Last night I had Moroccan chicken which consisted of a large plate of dry,lumpy mashed potato with a few strands of spinach on the bottom, 3 pieces of chicken on the top and 3 cherry tomatoes. As this is our local club we would like to support it, but unless the food quality improves there is a lot of other competition in the area.

Best Trivia in the Country!

I moved to the sunny coast in January to study and Kawana surf club welcomed me in like a local! Their trivia is the absolute highlight of my week!! The host is absolutely incredible, so fun and engaging. Keeps us coming back (along with the great drink prices). Fabulous place, highly recommend for a drink and a good time.

Covid spoils it again!

We have been coming regularly to this club during the week at lunch because the steak sandwich was good value and we could bring our dog to sit with us in the outdoor are. This time the access to this area from outside was barred. I understand covid restrictions which we follow however this inconvenience will stop us from visiting again. And the cost of the steak sandwich has gone up considerably What a shame. We'll be looking for another lunch spot

Poor Service

Great night out however turned soured when the service of the staff disappointed. Few meals never made it to our table and had to enquire at the kitchen to get replacement meals. Every body at our table finished their meals by the time the meals arrived. Very poor service. Manager refused to provide a reimbursement.

Love this place!

This is our go to when we visit from Brissy! They have a good selection of drinks and the meals are always great - never disappointed. Your staff are such a big asset, we are always welcomed, special mention to Brett and the young guy at the meals counter....very professional.

First timers and we’ll be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our dining experience. Although we walked through the back gate we were still greeted by Brett who is a true asset to the place. He gave us the run down and told us to shout if we needed anything. He then checked in on us a couple of times which gave it such a personal touch. Food was delicious and great value for money. Kudos to Steve, Michelle and Holly behind the scenes! Although we don’t have kids it certainly is family friendly. Lots of space on the grass for the kids to run around and the park is right next door.

Great staff and food

6 family members had lunch here today. Scallops and salad, parmy, steak sandwich and pasta special. All good. Brett our waiter was especially good. Great service and friendly nature.

Great place to be

Went for dinner to Kawana Surf Club last night. Brett looked after us, telling us what the plans are to keep the club open, keep the staff employed and what plans they have to keep us all safe during this COVID-19 crisis. Please check it out and help a small club get through these difficult times. By the way, the food is great too.

Excellent service, staff very friendly and attentive. Couldn’t do enough to help. Weather terrible, so they sent us a courtesy bus to pick us up. Luke the driver dropped us right to the door so we wouldn’t get wet. Thank you to wait staff Brett, Luke, chefs Michelle, Steven and Haley. Awesome night. Very family friendly and great food.
