Our favourite "go to" Italian!

We recently dined here 2 weeks in a row and this restaurant is consistently serving up wonderful Italian meals with even more wonderful service. The staff are second to none for friendliness, assistance and service to the table with the great array of food that comes from its kitchen. We can definitely recommend the veal and the pork belly dishes, and their seafood pasta. The bruschetta is also delicious. Wine by the glass or bottle - (we really enjoyed the Sangiovese) at very reasonable prices.

Great pizza and pasta, also great gluten free

We dined-in and I had the spagetti prawns. They were awesome! We were so impressed that we tried the takeaway pizza, which was fantastic value and also super tasty. My wife is coeliac and is usually disappointed with the gluten free offerings when we dine out. However, she said that the GF base at the All' Antica was one of the best she has ever had. High praise indeed!

Best Italian, every time, without fail!

Took friends to experience All' Antica on Friday night. As has been my experience every time I come here, a 10 out of 10 evening was had by all. The staff were incredible in helping to make a booking for us despite being well and truely busy. Busy as they were, the service was prompt and welcoming, and left us wanting for nothing. So wonderfully cozy and inviting on a cold winters night. Our evening started with a classic Margherita to share. Whatever your benchmark for Pizza dough has previously been, leave it in the past with a second-place trophy. All' Antica pizza is above and beyond anything else available locally with out question, with flavours and tastes you will feel obliged to tell your friends about. My go-to dish is the Sicilian Seafood Hot Pot, which, matched with the freshest, most perfectly risen and all together delicious sour dough imaginable, will keep me coming back at every opportunity. Once again, this dish was nothing short of incredible, it is so flavoursome, my mouth is watering now as I write this. The obligatory sharing of meals around the table confirmed the Al Funghi pasta is as dangerously moreish as ever, and that the Pork Belly was prepared by a master, perfect, perfect, perfect to the last fatty, salty, crispy-skinned morsel. This restaurant is a true gem for locals, and is certainly worth travelling for if you live further away. All' Antica has never been anything but amazing after 10 years of eating here. I am always looking for the next opportunity to come back and introduce friends to the experience!

Make your own dough!

We ordered two large pizzas with simple toppings expecting authentic Italian pizza. What we received were pizzas topped with cheap stodgy cheese. Nothing like an italian pizza. We could have handled the ordinary toppings but to make matters worse the pizza bases aren’t made in house. The bases are brought in frozen just like the ones you can buy at the supermarket. There are way better options for pizza, even the big chain pizzas are better.

Pity - used to be good

We booked ahead for a party of 6 (3 couples) for a birthday in April. We all arrived on time and were seated in a small alcove. Shortly after ordering, we were deafened by a high pitched ear-shattering scream from inside the main restaurant. The screech came from an unhappy small child we later found was about 16 months old. (It should not have been out in a public restaurant at that hour, in our opinion). This ear shattering screech continued every few minutes for at least half an hour. There was no way a conversation could be had while this was going on. One of our party decided to investigate, and spoke politely and very briefly to the mother. If we had not already ordered we would have departed, however it was agreed we would continue with our meals, hoping the mother would be able to control the child. The screaming continued until our main course came and later. Midway through our meals, the mother came to our table and apologised for the noise, and asked what we thought she could do – just a little sarcastically I thought. We suggested that perhaps she should take the child outside until it settled down. Another woman then approached us and started to abuse us for complaining, stating the she was the manager, and that the restaurant would rather have the mother and child than us at the restaurant, suggesting that maybe we should leave. (We had not complained to management, so this person was obviously a friend of the woman with the child). We finished our meals, and quietly left without desserts, drinks or coffee, vowing never to return to that restaurant. As a matter of interest, we had left a phone number with our booking, but never heard a word from the owners.

Birthday Dinner

I had my birthday dinner here for the fourth year in a row and like always it was amazing. My favourite dish is the Chicken Pesto Genovese, I could eat it every day for the rest of my life!! I always get a garlic pizza to start too and it’s to die for! Everyone else in my group which was 11 other people (family and friends) could not fault their meals! From pizzas, to veal to marinara, everyone loved the food... We then got the chocolate hazelnut gelato for dessert and believe me when I say it’s the best gelato you’ll ever taste, and that’s coming from me someone who worked in a gelato store for 5 years!! The staff are always so friendly and fast, I just couldn’t fault anything!! Will be back again and again and will always refer this place to anyone who’s looking for an amazing Italian...

Terrible meal and service staff obsolete

Food terrible. Bruchetta warm bread NOT TOASTED. My pasta COLD and no sauce with some cherry tomatoes and olives- nothing else My husbands veal scallopini like rubber And all sauce what was left No mushrooms Staff couldn't even clear our table after entrees Young GIRL rude and didn't care Meant to be birthday dinner No one came near us apart to sit us down But carried on when walked in re my birthday. Obviously this place has gone way doownhill We have come her before and great Not anymore Avoid They were not exactly busy*** either Will not be back Staff rude to my husband paying bill

Won't go anywhere else!

Without fail, the whole family are happy every time we eat at All Antica! Their pizzas are to die for, and my picky son always absolutely LOVES their pastas. Fresh, in house food full of flavour. We love their family friendly service too ... always with a smile 😊

Delicious pasta, but pizza questionable

My partner and I ordered the Amatriciana & spinach ricotta ravioli, which was very enjoyable. Ordered a Margherita pizza to take back to the hotel, it was just not enjoyable. The cheese seemed very rubbery and tasted overall very oily and salty.

Delightful experience

Simply Outstanding

I would easily rate this restaurant in the top three restaurants on the Sunshine Coast. The food was exceptional, whilst young Tilly, who had only just started 2 days ago, did an exceptional job with service. Prior to retiring I managed resorts all over the world and I can not say enough about my dining experience at All' Antica Italian Restaurant. We will definitely be back! Very special recommendation: Save some space for their dessert platter

Best service and food!

We were so well looked after when we came in for dinner. We had the Al Fungi pasta and di strata pizza. Definitely recommend the Elderflower martini! The restaurant is super busy, the takeaway section looks double as busy, but the team seem to handle, delegate and conquer as a supreme team always making sure everyone was looked after 100%. Grabbed a takeaway menu on my way out and already used it twice, now wanna just make our way through the lot....😳 this could be deadly!

Beautiful restaurant and food

Me and my friend are staying close by travelling from New Zealand and chose to book dinner at All’Antica. Booking a table is a must and easy to do. The restaurant itself is beautiful and well laid out. There is a natural comforting ambiance to the place. The service and customer service in general was brilliant. The food was absolutely divine! The seafood was cooked perfectly and they offer a wide variety of different seafood in their dishes. Some dishes offer their homeade bread which is baked beautifully! I was stuck for choice and asked the staff to choose between 2 dishes for me and they did not disappoint! Buddina is lucky to have such a great restaurant close by! We will be back once more before returning home!

GREAT STAFF AND FOOD

Didnt look much as we arrived on the edge of the shopping centre. But as soon as you walk in you smell a traditional Italian restaurant. All boxes were ticked. Food excellent, staff very friendly and good prices. Thanks very much.
