This is a really good Italian restaurant, the food is fantastic and service was great. We have been a couple of times, we went back after the first visit was so good. And we are from Wellington!

Always the best always consistent

Having tried all the eating places in Mount Maunganui for over ten years Mamma Mia stands out as simply the best. Italian cuisine at its best!

Best Italian we’ve had since visiting Mama’s Trattoria in Umbria several years ago. The pasta was to die for and the wine menu had a good range of Italian wines and even an Italian beer on tap! Don’t miss this culinary experience next time you’re...at ‘The Mount’.More

My favourite place in Tauranga

I love Mamma Mia. I go there every time I have an excuse, to celebrate, have friends for the weekend, or just a quick yummy meal during weekdays. I find every dish so good! My favorites are the cheese gnocchi and the angel pasta. My...friend loved the vegan dish as well, I tried it, amazing. Also amazing that it's BYO. Love it! The staff is very friendly as well, and the atmosphere it's a little crowded but very nice, feels Italian :) Definitely, a must-go if you are in the area.More

Will go back

We will definitely go back here. I ordered the gnocchi with prawns and could say the sauce was flavourful and the gnocchi was good too. What I loved the most about the restaurant is when something says it has garlic, you can see actual garlic...pieces which gave it more flavour, which we had in our garlic bread and my gnocchi. One of the tables ordered garlic bread which went past us and the smell was so amazing we had to get it as well. I tried my friend's dish too (can't remember what it's called, the square prices of pasta with filling inside) and it was so good! Will have to go back to try other dishes.More

Amazing Italian!

We had a superb dinner here with our young children. The service was very good and we were blown away with how delicious and authentic the food was, all round an excellent experience we can’t wait to come back!

Amazing food and service

Had meal tonight and food and service was top notch….staff taking all safety measures and vaccine passports checked…..staff friendly and attentive….husband is coeliac and lots of choices fir him…that’s a bonus… Would recommend and will be back…

Our favourite Mount restaurant

Great service - easy on line booking system makes getting a table a breeze. The food is divine … divine …divine… Intimate restaurant with BYO wine available -along with a good wine list . Lovely tables outside to enjoy the summer The menu is superb...and well priced. We love the service top notch Mamma Mia you are a true foodies gemMore

Excellent authentic restaurant

I dined with friends, we ordered 2 pizzas and the ravioli. I haven’t tasted food like this since I was in Rome, it was truly delicious.. service was very nice.., will return..
