It’s a hidden gem for sure, went two nights in a row. Fish was cooked to perfection, decent size of chips and a nice fresh side salad!! Will definitely be back and be recommending others to this awesome little place. Also has sea views, it has an outdoor sitting area which was great to take our dog too!!

Fishing club where you can eat well, beyond expectations. It is a simple eatery, neat and clean, but you should not expect much else. Except for a really well-baked sea bream in a perfect dough layer; best I had in NZ so far. My partner was very satisfied with the steak. The cooking is simply good!

Really good club type meals. Great value and friendly service. Try the seafood pizza it’s great. We enjoyed all of our meals.

Paid $28 for a steak that you couldn't cut with the wooden cutlery. Broke 2 forks trying to cut it. They would only cook the steak medium ... how lazy is that!! Chips were cold. Very disappointed in the meal. We have been there twice recently and the 1st experience wasn't much better. We won't be returning.

Were staying locally so decided to try here for lunch. Didn't realise opened at 12pm but arrived at 12.08pm but door was locked. Lady inside opened it and begrudgingly said hello when I did. We walked inside thinking we would get taken to a table or at least acknowledged by someone as the door opener had walked off. The bar lady who turned her back on us.
The first lady pushed past us to put out the flag and then with us standing there like idiots walked past us went into the bar and also turned her back on us. So rude. We walked out hungry and spent our money elsewhere so can't comment on the food but if the customer service is the guide... who knows - I've put average for the food because I had to put something to write this review.

I had my usual long black hot water on side ordered his house specisl toasted Croque Forestierre very yummy toasted with mushrooms very filling with side greens i love this place delicious food great coffee quiet with great service checkout the menu pic

Really popular and for good reason, if you can nab a table on the deck and enjoy the view as well as the food. The gluten free options are very limited but I really enjoyed the mussels (for the last time - had an appalling experience with mussels elsewhere after this). My friends enjoyed their fish and chips, and we all would happily return.

We stopped in for a nice lunch. I had fish and chips and my wife had a burger, we enjoyed both. There were also pizzas available and they looked good too. There was quite a crowd there but the food still came out quickly. The menu is on the blackboard so I presume it changes regularly.

We had dinner here, great fish and chips and a couple of pints. The food was excellent and the staff was really friendly, had a good experience here.
