Had a very nice Sunday lunch here with my family today. Food was excellent and portions good. Value for money. Service was good as they were very busy.

Character pub with friendly helpful staff and good beer. Had the burger which was perfectly delicious, caramelised outside and pink in the middle. The chips were excellent - crisp and moist.

We booked a meal for two for Wednesday lunch time and ate inside. The meal and beer were excellent. We had starters of king prawns and bread and olives We both chose sea bass as the main meal. They were large and tasted delicious.

What a fantastic menu. Very English. Great choice of Sunday roasts. 6 of us enjoyed our meals. I had lamb roast which was so very tasty. I then had pavlova meringue which was delicious. My granddaughter had cheesecake which was the best ever! Thank you...so much from us all. J AltanMore

We were staying at the nearby Wallis Farm house & were recommended this pub, as we could walk there! Beautiful 17th century inn & very tastefully furnished inside (we were I. The dining room). We ate early 6.30pm & the pub was quite quiet for...a Friday, but it gradually filled up later on. Food was delicious (swordfish was beautifully cooked), service good & great value for money.More

I just wanted to say what an excellent meal we had yesterday lunchtime. I booked a table for three of us for my sister in-laws birthday. We ate indoors and pretty much had the place to ourselves most people sat outside. The food was (sorry...to use that word again but it was) excellent. Fresh tasty very large portions. Each course(we had 3)surpassed the last. Lots of choice too. My swordfish with garlic prawns new potatoes and vegetables was tasty and light the smell when it was brought to me made my mouth water and it didn’t disappoint. We all had the same starter crab tart. This was a big hit especially to my husband as he would never choose this he is not a big fish eater but he loved it, as we all did. The size off each course portions were large very good value for money. We will definitely be returning. I don’t normally email places unless I have been disappointed but I felt so strongly, we all did, that I wanted to write and express it. So I emailed them to let them know Thanks to Cheryl and all the staff and the cook most definitely must never leave 🙂More

I went with my family and some friends,we reserved a table for all of us. The waiter took our orders as soon as we sat down. The food came super quick. TIP: the cod with chips and peas is huge. Everyone was very polite. The...pictures are the cod and the toffee and banana pudding.More

First time visit to the Blue Lion with family on Saturday night. On pulling into car park building and gardens looked very nice but as we approached we were greeted with the most frosty, unwelcoming reception by a lady at the door. Not sure if...this was the owner or management but they really need to think about their career choice. Once inside setting was nice food and service was generally good except for the Tomato & Mozzarella salad started just a sliced beef tomato with a few crumbs of Mozz' very poor value. Overall an ok experience but unwelcoming and I'd be unlikey to revisit any time soon.More

Fantastic quality well cooked food, and masses of it. All three courses were faultless, the fish and steak cooked perfectly, and the seafood tasted as though we were eating on the coast. Being covid-phobic we ate outside, but the staff went out of their way...to ensure we were not left waiting or had the need to go inside the pub. The pastry on the crab and cheddar pie was to die for! GREAT CHEF. Value for money in a lovely setting, we felt we could not have had a better meal anywhere else in Cambridgeshire and will be going back at our first opportunity,More

Booked a table here just for a Friday lunch with my family. Well it was amazing! Everything we had (salmon, swordfish, cod burger and steak) was cooked beautifully. Really tasty, good size portions and excellent service. Beer is really well kept too. We finished off...with lovely desserts, again all delicious and big portions. Superb lunch at a very reasonable price. What a find right on our doorstep. Well done the Blue Lion!More

Yes they do. We had the turkey, two big slices, three roast potatoes, one Yorkshire and veg is served in a separate bowl. I enjoyed it but my daughter didn’t. Fair price, good service.
