Very good lunch. This place seems off the beaten track but is only a few minutes off SH1 and is well worth the diversion. They have a good menu with a range you'd expect from a larger place in the city. Good service and friendly. Coffee and food were both good. It's very pleasant to sit outside and then wander down down to the river after lunch.

Great campsite - lovely facilities and great cafe - food great, staff super friendly and helpful. So glad we found it on our way to Wellington

Ordered two coffees and almond slice.
They were good. What make it 5 stars is the
location and views. They are gorgeous
I recommend this place.
Additionally the toilets are one of cleanest we have come across.

down in the river valley and the location of an adventure business this place also has a small cafe.
We came here for a birthday and the staff were very helpful, and the meal was excellent.
However there was a bit of a mix up with the order and they forgot one of the meals entirely.
Overall a very nice experience and well worth the small drive off of the main SH1

We took a break from our Taupo to Wellington drive to see the nearby pedestrian bridge and stumbled upon this delightful cafe right on the Rangitikei River. Limited but nice menu and charming outdoor seating.

along with soul food .....
what more could you ask for,
weather was supposed to be rain but it held out and was beautiful !! we had an amazing time.
