We had a great meal last night on our way home from a family day out. There were 12 of us, 6 adults and 6 kids, the staff were welcoming and seated us on a large table outside by a nice area for the kids to run around and also gave the kids a colouring project to do. The food was really nice, something for everyone, loaded fries, chicken bites, pork belly bites, a variety of hamburgers and really tasty calamari were the options we had. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely go there again.

Very friendly staff. Great selection of beer. Food (beef cheeks, risotto, fish n chips, and lamb) was all delicious and VERY generous portions. Probably would have drove right past without stopping except guide in Akaroa recommended this place. Truly exceptional value, service, and food.

We visited little river for 2 days and followed the excellent trip advisor reviews for the inn.
Had drinks and dinner there in the evening.
The owners and staff are friendly, helpful and the vibe on Friday night was happy, friendly and convivial.
Our meals were very tasty, fresh, generous and great value.
We could not fault a single aspect
of this establishment or our experience.

Went to the Little River Inn for the first time after looking at their menu online. We both ordered the Mojo Chicken because the menu description promised so much but what we got was nothing like its description. It was just a piece of chicken thigh cooked in a deep fryer along with the potatoes that had also be cooked in a deep fryer and then a little dressing and some veg. Definitely will not be going back after paying top dollar for what was pretty much some deep fried food.

A laid back ambience with friendly staff. The interim menu is diverse and covers most dietary requirements. A good range of beverages including a large number of tap beers available. I am looking forward to utilising the large outdoor area over summer.

It’s been a while (thanks Covid) since we have visited Little River. We had the pleasure of calling into the Little River Inn today and what a transformation.
The new owners have created a super inviting and stylish ‘local. Completely revamped decor with a new much more inviting layout, it’s top notch.
Delish food, an ice cold bevie delivered by the friendly staff made our visit a memorable one.
We’ll be back the next time we visit Little River.
We hope anyone traveling to Little River will call in and support this new business.

Nice bright clean bar and dining area. Staff very friendly and helpful , Meals were delicious, Blue cod fish meal was excellent and fries were yummy. Urges are also very yummy, highly recommended 👍

Delicious. Welcoming. Friendly. Family dinner, of meat eaters and a vegan. Everyone was very happy with there food. Ordered the lentil soup special which was delicious. Huge improvement from the old inn.

Lovely place. Nice decor and the food was yummy. I had a beef burger and it was delicious. I have a nut allergy and the waitress was so nice. She went to check with the kitchen for me and was helpful. Great views .

Ok. So you are travelling to the Akaroa. Stop here, for a meal a coffee. But if you have motor home stay on site. Food is excellent, service is amazing and the views are to die for. This is a must stop.

Friendly (and new) premises, friendly staff, good beer and in the main good food, though at times with a tendency to "nouvelle cousine".
We (group of four) tried the Zuchini Risotto (good and healthy, though not suitable for people who don't like spicy - maybe a warning could help), the Akaroa Salmon (nicely prepared, good taste, though if you are hungry, better budget for two portions), and the Country grill (probably closest to traditional pub food - great fries, steak prepared as ordered (medium), though maybe not from the most tender of all cattle :) ;
Service was friendly, though not perfect ... when the two salmons arrived they waited for five minutes or so at the counter before the (not too busy) waitress managed to bring them to us ...

Such a great atmosphere and decor and delicious dinner. We had chicken and leek pie and veggies and seafood chowder. Friendly lady attending to us. A lovely experience.
