A group of friend decided to do a tour de pie riding our motorbikes around the best pie shops in Canterbury. The breakfast pie with HP sauce was really really good. Great start to the tour!

Had a late afternoon coffee and pie. Wonderful staff and food delicious. A must visit. Cafe spotless and setting comfortable.
Dropped in today after cycling 72kms to get there. Needed a coffee to ride home again. A brilliant blueberry pie but the coffee I ordered and paid for never arrived. The locals all got theirs. Gave up after 15 minutes. Disappointing.
Some gluten free food. Good prices and clean bathrooms. We tried cornish pasties, gluten free bacon pie, gf carrot cake. All good. Bill for this and two large coffees around $25.
Pies are great, but the staff especially the younger ones do not seem happy, friendly or have much work ethic. Feels like as a customer you are a nuisance.
Had lunch here last week (July school holidays 2020) with the family and a friend. Stunning and charming venue, first class menu and friendly service...Pie's were so fresh and tasty..
There is a great selection of pies here and everyone that I have tried has been really tasty there is also a wide range of sweet and sandwiches and great coffee my favorite pie is the garlic mushroom and steak pie
We make a point of stopping here on our way to and from the Otago Rail Trail. This year we tried the Chunky Steak pie, and also sampled our favourite New York Peppered Steak. As always they were absolutely delicious. We also bought a bag...of Belgian Biscuits, which are "mouth watering". Great service, and great food!More
On a recent Sunday drive, we decided to visit the township of Oxford seeking lunch and came upon Main Street Bakery & Cafe. We'd been to this cafe when it was under previous ownership and thought we'd give it a try. We had pies, cake...and hot chocolates, all were delicious! The pies are just amazing and the cafe wall bears several awards for their pies and you can tell why. The service was friendly and our drinks were delivered to our table efficiently and were nice and hot (so often you get hot chocolate served which is far from "hot"!). Whilst dining there was a brisk trade going on including several locals, so if they keep returning, then the food must be good! I cannot wait to return and start working my way through the multiple pie variations (although my waistline will most likely object!). Thoroughly recommend this bakery.More
This Bakery is a must visit about 40 minutes from Christchurch. The food & service was fantastic & so helpful & friendly , great coffee as well . Open 6.30, a must try . It is a nice round trip up through the Waimakariri River...Gorge to main road to the West Coast or u can go back through Darfield to Christchurch a lovely Scenic drive . If u were coming from the West Coast u can turn off just past Sheffield & go through Oxford, Rangiora & on to State highway 1 at Woodend through to Kaikoura / Picton . I would Highly Recommend .More
