Highly recommended. We have never had a bad experience here. Coffee is very good and food excellent. Owner very helpful.

We visited for breakfast. The owner was not in a happy mood. Food was at best average and very expensive but coffee tasted very good. We arrived happy, left unimpressed.

Dropped in for coffee and breakfast. Lovely cabinet food. Great set out. Warm and friendly. Very very clean. Coffee was lovely. Beautiful was good. I like the plate was warmed to help keep the food warm. Definitely recommended.

Absolutely outstanding cafe. We are housesitting in the area and have been trying a few cafes. We were recommended to come here - and it was a brilliant recommendation. Place does all day brunch/and lunch. Lots of options for vege/gluten free, and every dish showed...extra special care to elevate standard favourites(eg eggs benny that you can have on homemade potato rosti instead of a muffin, or easily tweak to be vegetarian; dishes like homemade baked beans, smoked bacon, lamb spring rolls. Great looking cabinet food. Fresh, different, good flavour choices. We shared the dumplings (tofu and vege) with pickled cabbage and salad, then shared the beef burger. Both fab, homemade, tasty, burger was moist, fresh, heaps of sauce. The outside is sunny, dog and kid friendly. We had a few vinos. When we got a pinot noir and noticed that it had just ‘turned’ a bit (hot days) the manager/owner immediately replaced and apologised with understanding. Great service from everyone. Really recommend. We’ll be back.More

Anyone heading down to Christchurch or up North to Kaikoura or further should go through Woodend, and stop at 79 Impresso for the great coffee and delicious food accompanied by friendly helpful, smiling staff, who are always willing to go the extra mile. On fine days...there is an outdoor playhouse for young children as well as outdoor seating in a garden like setting. It is unpretentious and comfortable with great food and coffee and they can handle families, groups and couples with equal ease. My favourite is the beer battered fish and chips - enough for two to share.More

We called into Impresso Cafe around 2pm on a Monday afternoon for a bite to eat. The cabinet food was delicious with a good wee variety. Their frittata was absolutely divine with some chips and salad. Great coffee, very welcoming staff, nice and clean, and...you can bring your dog. Brilliant!!!!!More

This was the most disappointing meal I’ve ever had, I ordered the crispy chicken and sweet soy noddles with pickled cabbage.. what I got was absolutely disgusting to say the least!! My partner ordered and got the wedges with cheese and bacon plus chilli sauce...and aoli.. it was enjoyable he said but nothing out of ordinary.. Back to my meal, what I got was a chicken schnitzel cut into strips, over thick noodles in a sauce that was bitter and disgusting the pickled cabbage was red cabbage in a very strong vinegar that was foul!! I took my meal back and said that is not what I was expecting stating that I wanted crispy chicken not schnitzel, that thought this was crispy chicken. It gets worse, a meal that was not eatable was excepted to the paid for?? $23 so we paid and left!! Guess what we will not be returning and besides writing this review we will be telling our friends about this experience.More

We really enjoyed our lunch, my lovely vegetable plate with grilled haloumi was very tasty and my two friends enjoyed their salmon on potato rosti. So good to have our 'extra hot' flat whites brought with our meals as requested too. Lovely, friendly service and...cleanliness of both restaurant and restrooms was appreciated as was the lovely warm temperature ,minus that draught of heat pumps. Took away the yummiest gfree brownie and fritatta.More

Hi, I am not sure about bringing your own dessert. Perhaps, you can give them a ring and ask directly? The owner is a lovely,a very friendly woman, and so the rest of the staff. We really enjoyed the place and the food.
