About
The Windmill is a village dining pub with buckets of charm in a lovely relaxed atmosphere at the heart of Parbold. We have a very good range of cask ales including our very own hand made "Windmill Cask Ales". Our menu has a selection of pub classics, some great specials which change daily, children menu, light bites menu & much more. Our food is of a good standard with the emphasis on fresh local produce. The main menu changes regularly. We have a well balanced wine list with many wines by the glass.

Well as the saying goes never judge a book by its cover, the restaurant was warm friendly and welcoming, everything was perfect from the service to the food. The food was hot and everything was just right. Thankyou

As always, fantastic food at the Windmill, tonights blackpudding stuffed chicken with peppercorn sauce was amazing, first class. Service was excellent too. Credit to the whole team at the Windmill, cannot fault food, staff, decor or atmosphere, always a pleasure to dine here.

After visiting the Wayfarer in the middle of the week, I decided to have lunch at the Windmill to see if their portions, value for money and menu was any better. I was not disappointed, as portion sizes and pricing was fair. See photos! And...unlike my burger at the wayfarer this one had onion rings!!! It’s the little finishing touches that make all the difference. I only wish they had Heinz tomato ketchup! LolMore

The food was fantastic but was slightly overshadowed by the service. Staff were friendly but tended to slam the plates in front of you. Although I love a long wait between courses, our dirty plates were left in front of us too for a very...long time. My main issue... it was a lovely August evening but, in the room where we were, all bar one the windows were painted shut causing the room to be hot and stuffy. The toilets were not the cleanest either and the hand dryer was out of order. I know none of these should take away any credit to the chef as, I said earlier, the food was fantastic.More

We’ve been to The Windmill a few times recently and not once have we been disappointed. I had the steak and ale pie with chips. The beef was beautifully slow cooked and tender. The pie was honestly one of the best pies I’ve ever had...and the chips and everything else was lovely as well. I went with my family and we were all so impressed with the speedy service and how delicious our food was! We will be definitely coming again soon! 💕More
