Enjoyed a good coffee and light meal in a peaceful garden. Also seating inside. Most relaxing after a drive around the harbour. A beautiful day in a beautiful country.

Time to tick Kawhia off my NZ list. Coffee?? Not much to choose from should not mean inferior product. Waited so long to get this coffee and it was not good.I would rate it in the lowest grade. . It was not at peak time...and the place was not full. Ended up going to check if they had forgotten me, but no so I asked for a take away. It was scalding hot and not nice. Come on guys. I know there is not much opposition nut surely you can do better than that.More

We dropped in mid week for a snack while we were tiki touring around the region. Not much choice in Kawhia, especially mid week. Did we hit a bad day? The coffee was mediocre; the tea was horrible and tasteless. The toasted sandwich was very...good; it actually had real fillings and lots of them too. Such a contrast between the food and the drinks. Get the latter right and this cafe could be great.More

While in Kawhia, we chose this place for a lunch and had some fish and chips and toasted sandwiches. The coffee was well below average and the food plentiful but boring and overpriced.

Wonderful shady area out back to relax in, and just chill out from the hot sun. Great service, I have a milk allergy and the staff happily made me a soy milkshake which does not happen everywhere believe me. Well done Annie's.

this isn't a multi national chain pretending to be all homely and original - it is a REAL homely and original kiwi seaside cafe. The food is good and fair priced, the coffee is excellent and you are really in someone's home = just check...out the lounge to see what I meanMore
