EVERYONE should try the new dinner restaurant Lot2: a culinary festival of flavours

Lot2 is a small space but offers some great vibes and is a great place to go with friends, family, partners, and even colleagues as you get to bond over sharing the food (the niche of the restaurant). The service is outstanding every time with a friendly and very skilled chef and gorgeous wait staff who are very attentive and cheerful. But the food... how do I even begin? Every dish is crafted to perfection with a delicate mix of exotic spices and flavours. Everything has the perfect amount of spice befitting it, leaving your mouth slightly tingling with the flavour and kick. On top of that Lot2 offers so many GF options, as well as quite a few DF and V options as well so that no one is left out from enjoying the culinary masterpieces. A word from the wise: if going here for dinner, do NOT miss out on ordering the kimchi fritters (their signature side dish). These were a crowd favourite. Describing them is hard as the flavours were so out of this world, but it would have to be by comparing it to a chicken nugget, but infinitely better, healthier, more flavour, more texture, and purely delightful. If you are a fan of any type of fast food chicken, you definitely need to order the Korean Fried Chicken. Exactly the same description as above; healthier, FAR more delicious, packed with flavour and kick. We also tried the Beef Brisket with Potato Croquettes. These were scrumptious, and less spicy, reminding us a lot of the components of shepherd's pie, put together in a new unique and creative way. You can't go wrong going out for dinner here. I promise you won't regret it.

There is nothing about this venue I would not recommend!

Lot2 is oh so good any time of the day! What do I recommend about it - everything! Beautiful fresh food (almost everything made on the premises - except for the bread, wonderful efficient caring service, reasonable prices, great atmosphere. Have enoyed their coffee since they first opened, plus their lunches (which are so fresh and delicious) and have also dined there at night, which was excellent. Small eclectic, constantly changing menus, exciting flavours, delicious sweet treats, and a small but carefully thought out wine and beverage list. There is nothing about this venue that I wouldn't highly recommend!

Lot 2 A menu with a point of difference

We had dinner here. Such a lovely relaxed setting. The menu demonstrated Cliff’s art in creating the perfect balance with herbs and spices. While not an extensive menu, the menu was intriguing with the flavours accompanying the meal, and did not disappoint. The staff were approachable and friendly. Definitely recommending to my friends and family.

Tucked away in the heart of Havelock North, Lot 2 is a hidden gem. The cozy atmosphere invites you to linger over a cup of their exceptional coffee. The friendly staff make you feel right at home, and the food is consistently excellent. Whether you’re craving a hearty breakfast or a light lunch, Lot 2 delivers. 🌟☕🥐

Try it, you'll love it!

Lot 2 was an excellent choice for my recent 70th birthday celebration with a group of 19 friends. Cliff and his staff served us delicious food throughout the evening, and everyone had a great time. This cafe has become a regular for us and we love dropping in for great coffee and food. Highly recommended!

Exceptional flavours and great warm vibe

Lovely warm spot with nice peaceful vibe. Cliff and the team are wonderful hosts with exceptional food. Some GF, DF options and yummy flavours. Sweets to tempt you as well. A new regular destination of mine.

Flavour explosion

Amazing food. Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We both had chicken curry and it was so flavoursome. Service was fantastic as well. Have also had lunch here as well and just as delicious

Outstanding tasty Asian

Delicious meal from a Joll Road newcomer, Would give Auckland a run for its money. Our local guests said it was the best restaurant meal they had had in the area in 30 years.
