Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loblaws is a grocery store. A grocery store as tourist attraction? You bet! I’ve lived in the big city for 20 years. I’ve travelled the world: Walked along the edge of Victoria Falls, climbed to Everest Base Camp, and sat in a bamboo forest watching Mountain Gorillas. And now? Now I have found centre ice at Maple Leaf Gardens, the Temple to Canadian Hockey. The magic! Come with me as we go in the main door of Loblaws. Turn right - the old blue bleachers hang on the original hockey arena wall. Turn to your left and walk in a few feet. How VAST this store is! Those walls so far away are the original hockey arena walls of Maple Leaf Gardens. You, my friend, are standing on sacred ground. Loblaws has done justice to the Temple they took over preserving the history and stories. This is where every hockey team and hockey great played. Walk down the aisle in front of the takeaway food. Turn left at the carts - the food court has long communal tables with old news stories as tops. Look for the Summit Series of 1972. The series between Canada and the USSR is tied. Paul Henderson, with seconds left in the game, scores. Canada wins! Go past the cheese fridge - stop and peek inside; the selection is as vast as the size of the store. At the end of the bread, turn left. Start hunting. Look up each aisle of canned food, coffee, pasta sauces. The floors are a bright, eye popping orange. Look for the dot. THAT is centre ice. A selfie is called for. You and Centre Ice.

What an impressive supermarket! Three of us had a pizza slice each from the takeaway food counter - pepperoni and mushroom - and they were very good; plenty of cheese to start, and a tasty, thin crust. The loos were clean, the staff were motivated and the entire supermarket was top quality. Very impressed. We sat a a picnic table in the car park to eat them. 12 bucks total. I wish more supermarkets could be like this.

Great selection of hot food. Their prime rib dinner was fantastic. The meat was cooked rare and it was tender. Generous serving with choice of two sides. The price was extremely reasonable. The best dinner I had for such a cheap price. Their soup selection was great too. Also tasty. Sandwiches was also good. All very reasonably priced. Better than most restaurants.

The old Maple Leaf Gardens are no longer a place for hockey and other entertainment but you can still learn and eat there. It’s part of Ryerson University and Loblaws where you can shop for your food. Aisle 25 is center ice. Enjoy!

I literally can't afford to shop at Loblaws any longer. They have gouged their prices to the point that many of us can't afford it.

I WENT SEVERAL TIMES IN LOBLAES CARLTN STREET AS I WAS STAYING NEAR BY .I WENT THERE TO BUY GRICERIES, MEAT AND DRINKS AND EVERY TIME I WAS AMAZED ABOUT THE VARIETY OF THINGS THAT THEY HAVE IN STORE , WITH AWAYS HELPFULL STAFF TO ASSIST YOU IN ANY WAY. ANOTHER THING THAT I LIKED WAS THEY PUT SEVERAL THINGS 50% OFF SO ANYONE COULD BUY EVEN IF THEY DID NOT HAVE MUCH MONEY, AND THAT IS A VERY PLUS FOR THE STORE.

I can’t trust a company that doesn’t keep their promises. Loblaws had committed to going cage-free but continues to sell eggs from caged hens.

I do my grocery shopping at the Loblaw's group of stores, on 18-09-21 I visited Loblaws on St Clair west, store #01212.... I spent close to $100. (I don't have the receipt" it is not a tax write-off"), I was directed to cashier # 15 by the prompt, she asked if I wanted to use my Optimum points I said NO ( I had over50,000 points), I paid the full amount by credit card and left after verifying the amount on the receipt, She also twice swiped my card to check after I asked if this stores increases the $50.00 values of the points to $ 65.00 as advertised by shoppers, she could not say as she did not know ,On the ( senior day) 23-09-21 i went to shoppers and made a purchase for$28.74 and was totally confuse when I saw my 50,000 points had evaporated, the cashier double checked on my request and had no sensible answer, I called the phone number on the Optimum card and was given the run around because I did not have the receipt, I also spoke to one of the managers at the same Loblaws store office about the points vanishing at the time of purchase. He advise I will need my bank statement showing the full amount was paid, this I have, to compound the problem again I visited the same Loblaws store on 25-09-21. and spent another $75.96, which included two packages with season chicken breast with a 50% discount on each,...to my surprise only one of the packages discount was taken off, the other they charged the full amount, I have photos of both packages and the product as evidence illustrating the discount and cost, .... part of the problem is that I use reading glasses and I am 79 years old, and when I have on a mask on as required in the store, it fogs-up and I can only read my receipts when I am out of the stores,... be advised if this problem is not cured in a timely manner I will sue the store for fraud and I will win.... DO NOT WASTE MT TIME I have all the evidence showing there is something wrong with your operation/cashiers.

Even during stage 2 COVID, we were able to get prepared meals such as sushi, chicken tenders etc. Is like a budget restaurant for families with children looking for meals without paying crazy prices.

I loved this place reminded me of central market in Texas. You have so many choices anything and everything. You can even eat and get dessert. I’m an American living in Norway so did lots of shopping to take things back with me. I spent hours here, it was like a kid in a candy store.

I ate a lot of the hot soups and fruit from the self service. It was good to grasp a few bits of the things I wanted.

The food is fresh and service quick. The coffee area had nice options and the service was speedy. Thanks to the gentleman ...think he's the cafe manager... always friendly and works efficiently. We had a light breakfast here almost everyday while on my 7 day vacation. Went in there for light snacks, deli meat, fresh fruits or a salad just about everyday, sometimes twice.
