We ate at the Noble for a complimentary full (very full) breakfast that was offered with our stay at the Prince of Wales Hotel. Our waiter, Kafil, was professional, attentive to our specific needs, and made everything seem elegant and fun. Modern chef-created food, with old world charm of white linens and silver coffee pots. Delightful!

The attention to detail is most prevalent as you walk through the doors - the scent of the roses first. The lighting in the restaurant next. Josh was our waiter and we were taken by his friendliness and helpfulness in making the experience (60th birthday) extra special. He brought us complimentary appetizers and chocolates. My husband's steak was the best he's ever eaten. Our meals were artfully presented. We had creme brûlée made with brandy, which we paired with cappuccino, and it made for a most decadent meal. One of the best meals we have ever had the pleasure to experience. Everything was wonderful.

We stayed at the Prince of Wales Hotel, for a much deserved break from Aug 11-16, our stay was a package deal which included four dinners/four breakfasts at the attached 5-star restaurant. The menu is basic, with four or five options (appetizers and mains). But even with the limited options, what is there is enough to satisfy everyone. Four options for appetizers to whet the appetite (3 salads/one soup). The caesar salad was the returning “goto” choice. Makes the shortlist of all time best caesar salads. For Entrees: Your choice of a cod, steak, lamb, chicken, or a vegetarian dish. There is a daily pasta dish to spice things up as well. Over our four days we got to sample most items on the menu. Everything was overwhelmingly positive. Our favourites were the lamb, and steak dishes. The bocconcini pasta special with lamb meatballs on our last night was also fantastic. The desserts were always unique and a great way to cap off the evening. We were not disappointed. The service was exceptional and ended up making all of the difference after a first night rocky start with timing and seating. The management and staff pulled out all of the stops to ensure we were happy, satisfied and felt well looked after for the duration of the stay. Special mention to managers Jeremy, Bill and our server Graham. All of the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We would not hesitate to recommend this vacation package, and look forward to doing it again sometime soon.

I had my hopes high for the Nobel restaurant while staying at Prince of Wales. We ate there for dinner and breakfast the next morning. The ambience was immaculate. I loved how everyone walking by seemed in awe of the dining room - loved that aspect of it. Almost like dining in a snow globe! However... the food selection was lacking and taste was nothing outstanding in my opinion. Drinks were great, but nothing special. The service is what really lost me. The greeter/hostess, a older women was absolutely delightful. Then it went downhill. Waiter at dinner did not show us wine list, we only noticed after ordering it was even on the table. Food arrived at different times so my company was waiting to eat. The waiter in the morning did not bring me the right type of toast, did not ask me how I wanted my poached eggs so they came basically hardboiled (sent them back to be redone), completely forgot to bring us our mimosas... I really wanted to like this restaurant as we spent over $500 over the weekend.

My sister, my mother and I booked a reservation for 3:15 on the patio. We arrived about 5 minutes before our reservation but ended up waiting about 25 minutes for our table. The hostess seemed confused and unsure where to sit us and was holding chairs in her hands while asking us to follow her to our table. Afterwards, we had to share one menu because they ran out despite the fact that there were many open tables. The table cloth was stained and had no cutlery, no cups, nothing on the table and seemed like it was thrown together. Our table and chairs were placed near a grate and was very unstable and rocked a large amount. I thought the issues would stop there, but it didn’t. The server took quite a few minutes to get our orders but did most of the food order correctly. However, once the meals came, we still didn’t have cutlery. Finally while eating, we asked for more drinks. The server mixed up and incorrectly brought over the wrong drinks. We drank them anyway. While I was finishing my meal, the buss person began clearing our table before I even finished my meal! I felt that I had to rush and hurry out since I was the only person left with my plate. Once the bills came, we were charged for the wrong items. This day was a very meaningful one for my sister, my mom and I and am disappointed to say that I had an absolutely horrible Experience and will not be coming back. We were hoping to stay at the hotel for our next outing but after our experience , have reconsidered and will no longer be staying or coming back to this location. Do not recommend- from beginning to end- it was horrible for us. We al felt like a total inconvenience.

Most people visit NOTL in the summertime for theatre and such, but being local we can enjoy a visit most anytime of the year. So it was we visited Noble for lunch this past Friday and as always, the service and quality were exceptional. Our server, Page, was the epitome of quiet elegance and efficiency, and the food, while not inexpensive, was beautifully presented and of very high quality. The view from our window table of Simcoe Park across the street in winter was lovely, adding to the pleasurable experience. The room is bright and beautifully appointed and the noise level was very low. A most pleasurable experience!

We stayed at the Prince of Wales Hotel on their Winterfest Package, and it included a 3 course dinner at their Noble restaurant. As you would expect the dining room was as beautiful and comfortable as the rest of the hotel. Our dinner, however, was limited to the Winter Feature Dinner Menu. Choices were limited but fabulous. The starter of Mushroom Velouté (soup) was so delicious, and our mains of Pan Roast Black Angus Striploin were VERY large portion, cooked to perfection rivalled some of the best steaks we have had anywhere. Finishing with a Tiramasu-Creme Brûlée was so good - but literally too much.!!! (Our wonderful server, Valerie even asked if we wanted it to take back to our room) Highly recommend.!

Booked our reservation for this place weeks in advance and called the day of to confirm, but when we showed up the host looked bewildered and then had to wait for them to clear a table for us. They seem very unorganized. Our waiter was terrible. He took forever to take our order and bring our food. It took 30 minutes for our appetizers to show up and another 40 minutes for our main meal to come and he forgot one of the sides we had ordered. It shouldn’t take close to 2 hours to eat a 2 course meal! On top of that the food was tasteless. They talk a good game in their descriptions on the menu, but when you get and taste the food it was “blah “. The food was pretty average and over priced. Save your money and go somewhere else!

Went to Noble for dinner Sept 2020. They are currently offering a limited fixed price 3-course menu (likely due to Covid). I had a green salad with peaches and goat cheese, followed by baked cod with vegetables. My fish was very nice but I found the vegetables a bit bland, and they were served with the entire stalks of green onions, which were a little hard to eat. Hubby had the "fish chowder", which although tasty, was a thick purée and nothing like what you would expect of a typical chowder. He also had the lamb which he said was nicely cooked. Dessert was a standard-issue chocolate mousse. Overall we enjoyed our meal, the service was very good and the price was reasonable.

We arrived a bit before our reservation but they were still able to accomodate us. The service was great and the food excellent. The tables were nicely apart so we felt safe even with COVID. We were served a dessert from the previous day (you could tell by the texture) but it worked out as hubby preferred the chocolate mousse to the current days mocha mousse.

I stayed at the Prince of Wales Hotel for three nights in November with two friends. We ate in the Noble twice while we were there and both times were wonderful. The food was terrific (thanks, Chef Smythe) and the wine list long. Server Alan took very good care of us on our first evening. At times, he left us alone for a tad too long but still, overall, a very enjoyable nice evening. Two nights later, we returned and Taylor took very good care of us, skilfully recommending a terrific wine to pair with all of our meal selections. My two friends were so impressed with their main courses from our first night there that they ordered exactly the same dishes! (the Beef Filet and the Blue Crab Pappardelle Pasta). I had the beef on my first night (incredibly tender and done perfectly) and the Haddock on the second evening (perfectly prepared). On both of our evenings, we enjoyed the Charcuterie & Artisanal Cheese Board - terrific! (The only odd bit in Noble happened when we ordered a bottle of a 2006 French wine for $125 and they came back to explain that they did not have the 2006 but had the 2015. Not usually a problem but the price for the 2015 was the same as for the 2006. Nine years difference usually makes a price difference. However, dinning room supervisor, Bill, handled the situation with aplomb and recommended another red that was terrific with our dinners. All was good.) We also ate three breakfasts in the Noble and they were terrific!

I get that the restaurants are only just reopening. But still, when the cost for dinner is over $300 for two, I expected a lot more. The service did their best, The food was ok, and the portions were appropriate. The pace of the dinner was good. But there is just something missing in the experience. Frankly, I've eaten at restaurants with much more ambience and more interesting food for much less cost. The room we dined in seemed more suited for a breakfast/brunch than for formal evening dining. Won't be going back.

The Accommodations were very nice. No hesitation to come back again. Rooms are a tad dated but comfortable. Woodwork was a bit worn in the rooms, shower tile needs a refresh . Some minor refinishing would be in order. I say this only because if your paying $350-$450 per night it needs to be impeccable. The service is Outstanding. Staff is warm, friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. We ate in the Churchill Lounge for lunch and Nobles for Dinner and breakfast. I would have the small tables in Churchill refreshed or refinished. A bit worn. Dinner was great, pork chop was tender (easy to make those into a brick). I’d add some demi-glacé to that dish if I could make one suggestion. Breakfast was outstanding. The food, service and atmosphere was top-notch. All in all, loved our stay will be back again!

Wow that came so fast...you will be expected to finish diner in less than one hour. They will ask you where you are from and if you say Toronto expect you will be rushed with your diner. We felt rushed out the door as the waiter brought appetizers and the meal within five minutes of sitting down.

U5311SCalexanderm, I am very sorry that you were made to feel this way and a little perplexed as to how almost your entire meal was presented within 5 minutes! When planning our Dinner period, we allot a 2 hour dining time for groups under 4. Being a 4-Diamond restaurant, our team is very well versed with pacing a meal appropriately to ensure the guest has more than enough time to relax, enjoy the meal, ambiance and the experience to its' fullest. As for your presumption that you were rushed due to being from the GTA, I sincerely tell you that you couldn't be further from the truth. We welcome guests from all corners of this earth and the only reason why a staff member may ask about one's hometown is for small talk and acquaintance. I do thank-you for your feedback.

We chose to make a reservation here based on the reviews and ratings on this site, as well as the proximity of the venue to our B&B. Our dinner experience here was lacking a few key elements for us. Serving staff were pleasant and accommodating, but very casual for what should have been a fine dining experience. The pricey menu was very predictable in the presentation and taste of the entrees (the ribeye and the snapper). We would have appreciated more interesting choices for wine by the glass and more options for a gluten free diet. For the price point, we would not return.
