Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stopped in there yesterday morning and food is incredible...love their beef bacon! Grilled cheese is really good and even better was the service I received from Jackie... she was really nice and just made my day! Thank you I will be back!

This restaurant is in Terminal 3. I ordered the brisket sandwich and coleslaw. The sandwich was absolutely loaded with BBQ meat. It easily fed both of us. It was very tasty and filling. It came with fries and a pickle… both were good. I ordered the coleslaw as an extra side, for a fee. The flavour of the coleslaw was ok. The cabbage should have been cut more finely.
If I need a meal in Terminal 3 in the future, I will go out of my way to find Caplansky’s in order to get a brisket sandwich. It is worth a walk across the terminal. But I will skip the coleslaw.
The staff were friendly.
The restaurant was pleasant, bright and spacious.

While waiting between flights I found Caplansky's Snack Bar. I didn't realize until I sat down that this was connected to Caplansky's Deli in downtown Toronto. That is a Triple D location. There was no much décor to the place but you have to remember you are at the airport. I sat at the counter and was served right away. I ordered the Rubenesque with smoked meat, a signature dish that Guy Fieti had at the deli. I substituted the fries for coleslaw. The sandwich was very good. The meat was sliced thinner then I am used to, but was stacked high. The meat was moist, super tender, and very tasty. The cheese was subtle and went well with the sandwich. The horseradish mustard made the sandwich that much better. The rye toast was strong enough to stand up to the contents and did not fall apart. The pickle was typical deli, sour and crunchy, just the way I like them. The coleslaw was okay and I needed to add pepper. When ever I am layed over in Toronto I now have a go to place to get a meal.

Actually at the restaurant right now. The server pit her fingers in our cups to grab them prior to filling them up with soda.... not only that once our food was served no one came around after to see if we needed anything else or if the food was even up to standard. We have been sitting here for more than 30 minutes after food was brought out. Nothing yet. We were going to order more drinks and dessert, but are taking our money elsewhere. We see 7 staff in total. 5 are standing around twiddling thier thumbs. Never returning to this restaurant or any caplanskys ever again. Oh and the deli meat tasted like warmed up deli meat from a grocery store. Was a terrible dining experience. That is all.

I always take the time to stop by this 'deli' and fill my belly when time allows between flights.
I have been very fortunate to have Carmen (it was very tired and hope I heard her name right) as my server.
The meals are always hot, fast and friendly service. It is liscenced so a glass of vino always goes well with deli!
Thanks again

Decent place to stop for a drink and have a sandwich. Lots of seating, very attentive staff. If you have to kill a couple hours at Terminal 3, beer is cold and the fries are hot

It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve last been in TO, and I was really looking forward to the smoked meat sandwich. Unfortunately the quality has gone down a lot since then. The sandwich used to be juicy, large pickle, multiple mustards to choose. Unfortunately, the sandwich does not distinguish itself from any other sandwich shop.

Stopped by here after a delayed red eye and were ravenous from not eating.
Got served a hot breakfast which consisted of eggs and coffee and were instantly happy.
We usually stop by here for sandwiches or breakfast when we have a long layover in Pearson and I recommend it due to quirky staff, good food and relatively decent pricing for an airport restaurant.

I haven't checked all of them but this must be by far the best deli in T3 of this airport. The smoked meat poutine is divine and so are the Rueben and the meatloaf sandwich. Perfect for a last meal before embarking on your flight home after a long holiday. Also, service was excellent.

You wouldn’t expect airport food to taste so good!! I’ve been several times but this time I had the cabbage borscht which was fantastic! Just like I make at home but with a nice smoked meat in there. I had the knysh this time with a salad. Very filling and tasty. Always a good stop! And they serve wine!

Toronto airport outlet of delicatessen featured on popular culinary tv show. I’m a sucker for brisket, so of course I had to try the brisket dinner. Any other time I’ve had brisket (including real smokehouse joints in the southern USA) it is always served sliced. However, this was over 1/2lb solid chunk of tender, juicy meat. I don’t know if that’s how they always serve it, but I happy with it since I hadn’t had lunch. Veg and fries were above average. Had my meal 5 minutes after I ordered it. Decent service. If you’re a hungry carnivore stuck in Pearson terminal 3, it’s good value.
