My family and I are frequent visitors to Banff. And yet for some reason, we've never dined here before. So we thought we would this time. We were not impressed. I had the chicken burger and fries. It was OK, but nothing spectacular (I'm sure...Popeye's or KFC could have made me something similar for about half the price). My son had the salmon, which he loves. He couldn't finish it. I ate a little of what he didn't and understood why. It just had a bland taste and lacked any flavor. My wife had the duck, which she said was good. However, the spaetzle that accompanied it was not so good. They almost looked like dried bread crumbs. Why not serve rice, risotto, or potatoes? All in all, for $125 (which included a drink for each of us), I can't say it was money well spent.More
We kind of ended up here accidentally but boy are we glad we did.
We had brunch and it did not disappoint-SO good.
The staff were beyond fabulous, there’s really nothing we could fault. If I’m being pedantic I’d say the glasses of wine are...bordering on expensive but otherwise I (we) highly recommend The Maple Leaf.More
It's a very fancy restaurant but you still don't feel out of place in jeans and a T shirt. Very friendly staff and the food is awesome. I got a steak with vegetables and mashed potatoes. Everything was 10/10!
First time eating at The Maple Leaf... it was recommended by a staff member of Helly Hansen when we were shopping there. Great food! I had cod... superb! I have gluten and dairy allergies and they were very willing to accommodate. Will definitely eat there...on our next trip.More
For some reason this was our first visit to The Maple Leaf in almost 30 years of visiting Banff. We are so glad that we did. The restaurant has a great ambience, the views from the second floor are gorgeous and our server, Jeff, made...us feel at home.
The menu is not that extensive but it has variety so there is still something for everyone. The mussels were done perfectly, the steak was very nice, the yam skins are something you really must try. Overall the food was delicious and the wine selection is very extensive and full of great wines.More
