Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We come here occasionally for lunch. The people who run the place are always pleasant. We tried the burgers after being told they're some of the best around, but we found them kind of bland. The chicken wings are really good, though. For us, the main attraction is the frozen yogurt -- so good! That, and the chocolate eclairs are always a treat when available.

Nothing special about the food. It’s just frozen fast food. The menu is a bit overpriced for what they serve. The pickles are good but you have to ask for sauce to dip.

This was a food truck with many different options. We each tried a different meal and were delighted. It had the extra advantage of being inexpensive. Thanks, Cacelia for recommending it!

Stopped in on our way to toe ferry, 2 delux burgers with fries and a sticky sweet pastry, and 4 sausage rolls was 60$. Ouch.
Delux burger was a little salad in a bag and a paper thin slice of tomato on a bun with some thousand island dressing. A frozen premade patty outa a box kinda tasted like a breakfast sausage patty. No cheese or bacon or onion.......what was deluxe about it?

The food truck was a viable option for a quick lunch with the family on a lovely Saturday. The food truck was right on the highway side and open for lunch until evening time (8pm).
For a family of five, we ordered a bit more than usual. We got two yogurt flavours - strawberry and blueberry which were in a cup (less messy) and in generous servings. For sides, we sampled their Mac and Cheese bites, Onion Rings, Chicken Wings and Poutine. The Mac and Cheese bites were surprisingly good, shaped into bite-sized triangles with a light batter and deep-fried. The onion rings were just right with a bit of crunch (go the onions rings!). The wings were cooked just right, and were juicy. The regular poutine used real gravy and cheese curds, which was delicious and very filling.
For the mains, we ordered a Crispy Chicken Burger and Chicken Strips. Both come with a heaping serving of fries. The Crispy Chicken was good, and the chicken strips were crunchy and not dry.
Overall, we enjoyed the food truck offerings - great greasy indulges.
Price point, We would say it is a fair price because of the location and the limited options in town. We would go back here again for the Yogurt and some quick bites when we go driving again.

We needed a light lunch and being September our options were limited so finding Linda’s food truck was great. She had beautiful pastries, we learned later her Butter Tarts are to die for, what we bought was her Chocolate Eclairs!! Oh my gosh light full of cream and covered in delicious chocolate!

My husband and I enjoy Fork in Port food a couple times per week. We love their fries and burgers and their wraps are always loaded and delicious. The selection of baked goods is out of this world...always something new. Not a ton of healthy choices, but they do have some nice salads and the wraps are pretty healthy too.

The Fork in Port is a new food truck-style eatery located on the outskirts of Port Clements, shortly after the “Welcome” to Port Clements sign. The truck/cart is relatively new, having opened its doors for the first time in April of this year; however, it seems to have garnered something of a local following in this short time. For me, it was exciting to see a new eatery in a place where they seem to be very few and far between.
I think the Fork in Port is a welcomed and needed addition to the Port Clements food scene. Prior to its opening, Port only had a couple of restaurants for locals and tourists to enjoy: Angela’s Place and the Yakoun River Inn (the latter being far superior to the former). With the recent coming of Fork in Port, locals and visitors now have a quick “to go” option available to them. And, unlike the aforementioned eateries, Fork in Port is open for long hours, six days a week (10AM to 10PM every day, less Tuesday). Indeed, on an Island where most restaurants close by 8PM, having this late-night option is a nice change of pace. But how is the food?
The Fork in Port food cart carries your standard fare – burgers, fries, sandwiches – but also offers up a few different items like the pepperoni poutine and an ever-changing menu of (mostly) home-baked goods (I say “mostly” because they’ve imported Baker Boy donuts in the past). During my visit, I ordered a deluxe burger (with fries) and a couple of tarts. Service was relatively quick and friendly, but I did note that my fries came directly out of the freezer. In this day and age, it’s somewhat disappointing when one doesn’t get home-cut fries. Other places on island do them and I’d recommend Fork in Port do the same. As for my burger, it was “okay.” I’ve definitely had better on the island. It wasn’t bad by any means; it just wasn’t particularly memorable. Actually, that’s not true – the bun was overly covered in flour, which was quite off-putting. There’s nothing quite like the delicious chalky taste of flour in one’s mouth when trying to enjoy a burger.
Outside of the hot food selection, the Fork in Port seems to pride itself on its vast selection of (mostly) home-baked goods – they are heavily promoted on their official webpage and constantly evolving. Maybe I just tried the wrong things? For example, my apple tart was very dry and was more tart than apple. Perhaps other offerings would be more noteworthy.
FOOD: 2.5/5
SERVICE: 4/5
VALUE 3/5
RECOMMENDATION: Overall, I would rate this new establishment as “average.” The food I tried, while not bad, wasn’t anything to write home about; however, the customer service was personable and friendly throughout. I’d probably return, but would try other items. In the end, I’m pleased that Port Clements has another food option – one that’s open late at that. This food cart is still new and so probably has a few kinks to work out. Thumbs in the middle.
