This is a low key restaurant in Playa del Carmen. The food was excellent and is all done on fire wood and that is one reason that some times the restaurant can be overwhelmed with smoke but the food is great and the price is...More

Our friend recommended this place to us. Food was delicious, stuff was friendly, live music by street artists was excellent. Menu in Spanish, so learn it! :)))

The line waiting for a table to free up was the first sign that this bare bones restaurant was exactly what we were looking for. We were tired of the more touristy offerings on fifth avenue and were in search of where the locals ate...that's...More

We visited El Fogon for dinner twice during our week stay in Playa Del Carmen. The food is delicious and authentic. Try the el pastor tacos or torta!

I would not recommend. There are plenty of better options around. The pork taco and the pinto beans soup where the best things we had there

Stopped by for lunch. I had the smoked pork with cheese. This is diced ham with cheese on top served with tortillas. Very tasty.

Don’t miss El Fogón, leave 5th Avenue and eat the real thing! Terrific service, quick and very pleasant staff! Delicious tacos al pastor, the best we’ve eaten. An extended menu, everything looked so good. I wished I had two stomachs and could taste some more...More

Sorry thought you were asking about another place. Here I had tacos I forget the Spanish word for what it was but it was first on the menu and we got a variety. We also got a burrito type thing and that was great as well.
