After visiting Vidanta in December, January and again in February no stay at the resort is complete without a reservation at this fabulous restaurant! We always book online to ensure we get the time we like( we’re late diners ) and make sure to reserve more than once during each stay. We absolutely love the multiple selections on the menu and always appreciate the attentive, friendly servers..especially Alfredo and Daniel. Not only are they knowledgeable about the wines but also we welcome their suggestions . They also always provide outstanding personal service. The manager and maître d’ Mario always greets the guests with a smile and does his best to accommodate the many requests he receives at the main desk. The chef, Emiliano should be commended for his culinary skills providing a wide selection of delicious entrees to choose from on the menu each time. AND it’s difficult not to take photos of the breads served at the beginning of the meal! We always enjoy dancing to the accompaniment of the violinist on site who each time provides an impressive selection of music whilst dining. We already look forward to our next visit to Tramonto!

My partner and I recently spent 8 days at the Mayan Palace, Riviera Maya. We dined at several restaurants on the property during our stay and found the food and service to be exceptional. One evening, we visited Tramonto and although the service was what we had come to expect at this property, it was just one of those unfortunate experiences that we in the service industry all dread, when my entree was served and was overcooked (chicken) and after ordering an alternative (fish), it was undercooked. Our waiter Jesus was absolutely mortified (justifiably so), comp'd our meal and invited us to come back another evening during our stay. We did so and received a warm welcome, extremely attentive service and a pledge to "get it right" this time. Their mission was accomplished and our meals were delicious. My meal was comp'd once again. I would like to give a huge shout out to our waiter Jesus, who took care of us so very well, manager Mario who checked in regularly and chef Emiliano, who came by to say hello and be sure that we were satisfied following our meal. As a corporate Event Planner, I am keenly aware that sometimes we have to deal with situations that are out of our control. My girlfriend and I just visited Tramonto at Riveria Maya for the second time this week because the food and service was so great the first time, so we decided to come back. The manager was so delighted to see us back so soon and reminded us of his appreciation all night.
Miguel was our server, alongside Emiliano as the chef, which made for a truly perfect evening. From the customized menu selections (or "menu hacks"), to the continuance of extreme attention to detail and the staff striving to make this beyond just a dinner outing, there are just not enough words to grasp how appreciative we were for this experience.
As I mentioned before, this is our second time choosing this restaurant in the last 4 days that we've been here, with many other restaurants on site. It's just THAT good. We were treated like family by Miguel, and you just can't beat that. He truly takes pride in his job and it was such luck that we were paired with him tonight!
Thank you, Tramonto and especially Miguel, for giving us the most unexpected highlight to our trip and for giving us every reason and MORE to come back.
Oh, and you've got to try the 4 Formaggi pasta with the chicken cordon bleu on top! W O W.

We were staying at the resort with friends. We wanted to buy them a special dinner. It was good but very expensive for pasta. Their wine was also expensive. They have you captive so can charge anything they want. A big ripe off. We ended cooking most of our meals in the room as all the property restaurants are $$$$.

We were 3 couples dining together. The Riviera Mayan Venue is elegant and service was good. However I did ask the waiter to please have my husband’s filet Mignon sliced and cut because he has a handicap with his left hand: he cannot use the knife. What was the big deal? They needed to have a managerial meeting to help a patron out? I did it myself because it just seemed they didn’t know how to deal with the request snd we didn’t want the food to get cold.
Our special margaritas were very light -not much body. But the bread basket was awesome.
Our friend’s salmon entree was perfect. The osso bucca was delicious also. My husband and I had the special filet Mignon, with Caribbean lobster over linguine. It was a nice treat and a lot to eat. They offer prime rib night on Tuesdays. Sorry we missed that. We were here on a Monday. For dessert we had a wonderful Tartufo.
The bill had a discrepancy so expect to wait a longs time in order for them to correct it.

We love Tramanto at Riviera Maya and it's always our favorite meal. Our server, Alfredo, was fantastic, you should request him if possible! We also returned later in the week for takeout on our final night! It was with sadness that we were told the manager, Salvatore, moved to a new restaurant at the property. We always enjoyed visiting with him on each visit.

This was the only restaurant we went back to a second time, since we were trying to visit them all during our stay at Vidanta. The minestrone soup is the best I have ever had. The bread basket is a work of art. The desert was amazing. Others in our party were happy with their meals, although I do not remember what they ordered. The marguerita cart was fun. MAKE RESERVATIONS so you don't have to sit in the lobby, as we did.

Beautiful atmosphere with dark wood and glass. Burrata was creamy and fresh served with grape tomatoes and pesto. The Pasta al Salmone flaked apart and was seasoned perfectly.
The Tiramisu is amazing! Comes to the table like a giant chocolate Easter egg. The server pours melted chocolate over the egg until it reveals the creamy tiramisu inside- scrumptious!

Tramonto was a good alternative to the abundance of Yucatan/Mexican food offerings. We should probably have stuck with the pasta/Italian dishes. We ordered lobster tail over tomato-based risotto, and it was very unusual. The lobster was horrible and had to be sent back, and the risotto was just weird.
Otherwise, the breads and desserts were impressive and the service impeccable.

We ate at Tramonto our first night at the Vidanta resort. It was our first visit to the resort and we weren’t sure what to expect. We made later reservations and they happily accommodated us. We were tired from a long day of travelling and we were pleasantly surprised. Service was excellent and the food delicious. Portions were large and we ended up take half of our food back to the room. Great dinner the next day!!
Would definitely go back if we ever find ourselves back there. Just one criticism, the wine is very expensive.

We have dined here three times over the last year, each on a different trip, both as a couple and as a group. Each experience was memorable for all of the right reasons. Varied wine list, knowledgeable sommelier, and really delicious food! One of the best beef carpaccio that we have ever had. Reservations are needed, and make them as soon as possible.

My fiancé wanted the prime rib so that was why we chose the night we did to eat here. Clean plate club.
If you want to skip carbs you will be tempted by the incredible bread basket!
Our service was outstanding and flawless. If you want help with wine you must ask for Ignacio. His love of wine and knowledge is evident.
Even though I was stuffed (roasted tomato soup & the Ravioli Al Funghi porcini) we both had dessert. Ignacio recommended this beautifully paired port that was perfect with my dessert.
10 stars for this experience & we loved listening to the live music, a wonderful guitarist. Remember to eat here!

Coming every year to Vidanta Riviera Maya, we are also frequent guests at the Tramonto restaurant. Staff is wonderful, food is great. One negative comment... the current entertainer is way to loud and not appropriate for that restaurant. The violin lady we saw at one of our visits, is much better and fits into the ambience of the restaurant which seemed noisier this year with more kitchen pots and pans banging. That combined with the guests talking and the loud music, was not as enjoyable as in previous years.

Tramonto on the Vidanta resort in Riviera Maya is a wonderful place with a great selection of food. Wednesday is Prime Rib night and is a 3 course meal; I can recommend that. The wait staff is friendly and professional and all the food is excellent.
