Best food across Andaz Mayakoba

By far the most delicious food across Andaz and among the best restaurants in Mayakoba if you just want simple, delicious foods with super friendly service. Seasoning and flavors are excellent, but what really set it apart are the fresh, homemade ingredients they put in your dishes, which we really loved. Highly recommend the fried calamari, chicken broth, all pastas (home made!), chicken tikka masala, and beef noodles (ask for the spicy sauce on the side.) The staff would also go above and beyond for any specific requests you have so pls just feel free to ask!

Excellent service and food

The staff was so attentive. The service was quick and efficient. We enjoyed breakfast there most mornings and the waiters recognized us and remembered our favorites! Fernando was memorable for his excellent service and sense of humor. Try it- the food is so fresh and cooked to your specific order.

Breakfast in Paradise

Cocina Milagro was hands down our favorite place to get breakfast during our stay at Andaz! Every morning they have a breakfast buffet which has so many delicious options, my particular favorites were the fresh, buttery croissants, the quesadilla station, and smoothies. The staff there was incredibly attentive to whatever we needed, particular shout outs to our waiters Ferdy and Raul who went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible! I highly recommend sitting outside as the shade and fans keep the temperature comfortable and allows you to have breakfast sitting poolside. Overall fantastic experience and we will definitely be returning!

Horrible slow service and very expensive

Had breakfast here for 5 days in a row. It is OK if you have the buffet (though it is really overpriced at 700 pesos (about $38)). You also have the option to order off the menu (which usually ends up costing 700 pesos for two people and you still get plenty of food. However, ordering from the menu meant at least a 45 minute wait for your food - again, pretty absurd.

Bring back the old menu!

We ate at Cocina Milagro for the first time last year as we were rained out of the beachfront restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised when we found a huge menu that was full of just delicious options. This year, we brought the kids and promised them delicious pizza and a wide variety of food. Unfortunately, the manu changed and we just didn't find the options we had liked so much the prior time. We ordered a prosciutto pizza which had a fig chutney on it. In hindsight, I should have asked for it without the chutney, but when the pizza came out the damage was done. It was prepared with a heavy handed and the sweet chutney just overpowered the pizza even though I did my best to remove 90% of it. We also split the pasta carbonara which was good, but also felt pretty heavy. If we came back again, we could have ordered a little better, but I am not sure a return trip is in the cards.

Great breakfast and outstanding service

Great breakfast. We ate here every morning on our trip since we got a breakfast-included plan. Huge selection of food choices—sausages, eggs, beans, rice, tamales, oatmeal, cured meats, cheeses, bakery items, bread, omelettes, quesadillas with homemade tortillas, salads, cereal, etc. I loved the fresh fruit, the German sausage, beet and kiwi salad (shockingly good!), quesadillas with squash blossoms or poblanos or chorizo. The service is outstanding—after a couple days, the two hostesses, Marlene and Martina, knew our names, our preferences, even remembered our room number! Our servers, Alberto and Ara, were friendly, cheerful, conscientious, and thoughtful. Abraham at the omelette station is a delight—great omelettes and engaging conversations while we waited. Candelaria at the quesadilla station made the tortillas fresh right there! She’s great—cheerful and sincere like all the staff. My wife and I are already talking about when we can come back to the Andaz Mayakoba!

Favorite breakfast buffet ever!

I came to Andaz Mayakoba December of 2022 with my girlfriends and loved it so much that I brought my fiancé with me this time around in October 2023. One of the memorable things from last time that I was extremely excited for was the breakfast at Cocina Milagro. Ever since last December, I couldn’t stop thinking about the variety of options and delicious food! I was hyping it up to my fiancé on our way to Cancun this time around and he said it did not disappoint. Their molcajete salsa, habanero salsa, tamales, empanadas, omlette station, and cured tuna are all things I kept looking forward to each night as I got into bed. Breakfast was complimentary with our stay, but I also think it’s pretty worth it given how fresh and delicious everything was. To top it all off, the service is EXCELLENT! When you are approaching the front entrance, someone is always there, opening the door and welcoming you in with a friendly smile. Once seated we were served by both Arturo and Raul during our 6-day stay and they were both extremely attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. They both checked in on us regularly throughout our meals and greeted us with bright smiles. Always offered us drinks as soon as we sat so I stayed well hydrated for sure! Water, juice, and coffee with nice refills throughout the meal. They were both so quick to notice when we were done with a plate so they could promptly clear it as we got ready for our next round at the buffet. Today was our second to last breakfast at the resort, and as we were going back to our meal, we talked about how much we’d actually miss the staff here because of how friendly they are. We will absolutely be back, and will bring our families next time. ¡Muchas Gracias!

Amazing service

Mauricio was our server for a week and he was amazing! He had our table ready (party of 7) every morning around the same time. He remembered the kind of juices and coffees that we liked, he was checking on our table constantly making sure that we were okay. They place was busy but it wasn’t a problem for him, he was very professional and his customer service skills were the best. I will definitely come back to this restaurant if Mauricio is working there! Thank you Mauricio , we already miss you!

Breakfast and Dinner at Cocina Milagro

We are staying at the Andaz Mayakoba resort for a few days and have had such a wonderful experience at Cocina Milagro. We ate breakfast here and really enjoyed the omelette and quesadillas station outside on the patio for breakfast. The green juice and full coffee bar are can’t misses. We had dinner our second night here and loved each course. Our wonderful server David Guzman helped with suggestions- seriously don’t skip the Discover drink with fresh strawberry juice (you can add any type of liquor to it!). The spring rolls are by far my favorite appetizer and the sticky rice with mango was the perfect dessert!

Lots to like at Cocina Milagro. Staff is friendly, attentive and eager to ensure that you have a great meal. Enjoyed three dinners there and order 9 different main courses, all of which were great. Daughter has shellfish allergies and the team was very careful to point out which dishes worked for her and which did not. Team even friend fresh batch of tortilla chips since the fryer had been used for shellfish. Very happy at Cocina Milagro and found the food to be consistent and tasty.

Eccellente!!!!

The service provided by Don Enrique was excellent , friendly but professional. He toke the time to answer our questions, and accommodated our restricciones since we had a Vegan in our party. The chef, Rudy, even visited our table to greet us and make sure we were satisfied with everything that was served. From appetizers to dessert, all was made to perfección, and this comes from a picky Italian that often complains 😂!!! We will totally come back , and we would recommend this restaurant to whomever wants to have a nice, yet not heavy meal. Five star overall!!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Such a great experience at Cocina Milagro. The service is excellent and the food is great! The breakfast buffet has a great variety, and service is so personalized. My toddler is a picky eater and everyone was more than willing to find something she would eat even if it was not on the menu. Sergio was very friendly and welcoming and made our family feel at home. It was such a pleasant experience overall. Definitely recommend!

Alfredo, the manager went above and beyond for our family. He always made sure we were well taken care of and even personally got two eggs for our 5 year old daughter so we could help our 3 year old with her breakfast. Excellent service and food!

The staff at Cocina Milagro was amazing. Alfredo and his entire team took great care of my family everyday. It was so great because they took genuine interest in our experience and made sure the kids had fun. Now to the food, the food was AMAZING. We had breakfast here everyday (smoked salmon bruschetta with fresh local vegetables was superb and my family had the buffet everyday which they loved). The bar team here also is fantastic, best spicy margaritas on the property. Thank you very much for making the trip extra special. Will be back soon

Excellent food, service, and ambiance!

A great place for a great meal! We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. The breakfast buffet was outstanding! The restaurant has a full bar (please try the Tamarind Margarita) and the service was outstanding. Manager Alfredo was particularly attentive and was genuinely interested in our dining experience. In all of our world travels we have not had a better experience.
