This is a lovely local restaurant frequently by locals and tourists. It has plenty of atmosphere and serves authentic Mexican food at a very reasonable price point. Service and Food @ 4 and value @5

I was having dinner here with some work colleagues and it was a very good night. The food was delicious and the recommendations of the employees very adapted to our needs. There was a group of Mariachis playing live music and singing songs through all...More

Came for a breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Everything was perfect: The tortilla española, the side salad, the bread, the orange juice, the coffee. A great place! My only objection is that this place should not be tagged as vegetarian friendly, since, besides breakfast, there's...More

The food here is always good, and the atmosphere takes you back a century in time. In the evening you might be serenaded by a tuna band.

My wife and I were staying in the historic district and this restaurant was recommended by several people including the concierge in out hotel. We enjoyed a excellent service and wonderful food. We highly recommend this restaurant if you are close to the Zocolo.

Here is nothing materially wrong w Cafe de Tacuba , but I consider is to be overrated. They food quality is average, and the vibe is touristy. If you are in the neighborhood and need a place to eat, then by all means you should...More

This one of those great buildings and ambience but with average food. Nothing fabulous outside, but a nice environment within. I went solo on a weeknight. Not busy. Seated quickly. My order was taken quickly. I tried one of the juices -- a large grapefruit...More

I think they perform at night, the best thing to do is to call the restaurant and ask.

Either you'll have to be very very lucky to find a table by the windows, or you'll have to handsomely, and/or very discretely, "tip" the folks at the hosting station. Good luck!
