Atmosphere is the same, but the service has slipped somewhat. To be fair, it was very busy, but it should not be necessary to call back the waiter for basic services of water and menus. Food quality previously was excellent, but this visit only very good. Also, the price of the entrees on the menu was less than what was put on the bill. Also, we had asked for separate bills, through service, the waiter confirmed each of our names, then delivered one bill for all 7 of us. Apparently they were too busy to separate them....not a good excuse, especially since they delivered separate bills to the adjacent table with no problems.

Angelina is an amazing chef who has created a diverse and consistently delicious menu at her Mazatlán restaurant. My friends rave about her pizza, but my favorites include the salmon with capers and the pork shank. We often start with her beet carpaccio, sliced wafer thin and served with goat cheese, walnuts and a splash of balsamic vinegar. But her avocado tower and fish tiradito (served with hearts of palm) are also standouts. The service is excellent, with Bram deserving special mention for his friendly yet sophisticated attention to customers. A wide selection of wines by the glass accommodates most palates and budgets. Angelina’s Kitchen is going on eight years in Centro and lucky for us it is better every year.

Angelina's treated us so well! We got alfredo pasta, pork street tacos, and a portobello burger. The street tacos were to die for! An added bonus was the beautiful blended strawberry margarita that I was served. Our waiter, Luis, was an absolutely angel. He was willing to speak in spanish or english and happy to let me practice my broken Spanish with him. Angelina's is on the more expensive side, relative to other restaurants in Mazatlan, but I felt like the pricing was appropriate for the quality of food that I was served.

In El Centro for shopping we happened upon Angelina's, which we had seen near the top of Tripadvisor's best restaurants, and returned for a late lunch after shopping. Wonderful atmosphere and very friendly hostess at the entrance. Attentive server, we were the only customers, who took our fish tacos orders. Other customers arrived and service became slower as he was the only server. Our tacos arrived and looked delicious. Big chunks of fish were tasteless, however, as was the coleslaw on top. Tiny ramekins of guacamole and pico de gayo added no discernible flavor and only 2 small pieces of lime didn't help. The corn tortillas were dry and fell apart as we were eating. Our waiter did what he could, more lime, different salsa and some cilantro, but he should not have had to do that. We might return for dinner in the future and if needed will change my rating.

We decide dc to visit Angelina’s based on recent TA reviews. This is a wonderful little restaurant with first rate food and service. Let me say at the onset that it’s easy to order too much food🙃. Our group of three ordered appetizers (Tapas x2 and 1x Avacado tower. I want to mention that the Tapas were as good as any I have had in Barcelona.
For entrees we had the Greek Pizza, seared tuna, and pork shank. The pork shank was flavorful and tender but lacked the dark color I was used too, the pizza had very generous amounts of toppings and the seared tuna was also flavorful and beautifully presented.
This was a lot of food. We took home half the pizza. I think a party of two could probably get by with one order of Tapas and splitting a pizza. Alex, our server, did a first rate job. This is not a budget restaurant but rather a nice low key dining experience that deserves its strong TA reviews.

I was with a group of eight. We were seated ar a nice table and we had good service throughout the evening. We ordered drinks and I had an excellent margarita.
For my main course I ordered the pork shank which was advertised to come with mashed potatoes and cabbage salad. The mashed potatoes were fantastic but just a tiny spoonful. I would have enjoyed my meal much more if there had been more of them. The cabbage salad was OK.
Now the pork shank. This was a generous portion of meat in an incredibly thin, tasteless broth. I went to boarding school and I know about tasteless broth. This was there.
I got the sense that the shank had been boiled and stuck in this dull broth. Rather than the shank being stewed or broiled and providing its own rich gravy. All the flavour had been sucked out of the shank somewhere else.
I ate it all and I know that other food at this restaurant is fine, but the pork shank needs to be cooked in a manner to make it more appetizing and please give us more of those wonderful mashed potatoes!

Omg!! So sorry about that :( For sure the cook forgot to season it ....I talked to them already about this BIG mistake....
If you want to give us another chance come back please send a message before to our Facebook page I will make sure to give you a free meal next time ... I wish you talked to the manager I am sure she would correct that mistake in the moment and you wouldn’t leave our place unhappy :(

This is my fourth time to Mazatlan and Angelina does not disappoint. Three visits so far this trip. Shrimp tacos the first night with a glass of decent Chardonnay. Excellent. My waiter spoke excellent English and did not make a face when I tried my limited Spanish. The ambiance is very welcoming of groups and in my case singles. Second time had fish with garlic tequila and lime. Chardonnay was good but the fish a bit overdone, could be because I had it to go. Veggies were good, rice so, so. Tonight had the pork street tacos. You must try this. Absolutely amazing. Tender, spicy, but not hot, full of flavour and will be very difficult to try the other items that intrigue me. Put this one on your list of MUST try when in Mazatlan.

Normally this place has been good, but this time well below par. The Pork Shank with tough and difficult to get off the bone and the Chili Relleno was under cooked. After complaining about the Shank, a small amount was removed from my bill. Don't know if I will return.

It was our first visit to Angelina´s restaurant, and it was incredible! The very Mexican colourful decorations of the restaurant are wonderful, the service was very nice and kind, service was fast, and the flavour of the meal was outstanding! We enjoyed every single one of the different options we ordered...The prices are very reasonable as well. Highly recommended! It is a must when you go to Mazatlan!

We ate here on a Wednesday night. There were few people. Silvestre provided excellent and charming service and the food was fabulous. We had the Basil Margaritas to start, the apple salad, the Bugi pizza, shrimp tacos and pork tacos. Everyone loved their meal. All servers wore masks , check our temperature and gave us hand sanitizer. Eat here!

Angelina has the best selection of interesting Appetizers in Town that that we usually share before dinner. The bar is well stocked and is one of the very few places one can get Negra Modelo beer on tap. More recently a micro brewery supplies guests with Tres Islas Porter. The atmosphere is conducive to a very pleasant visit with soft background music by talented musicians. The waiters are attentive and speak English. Angelina and her daughter Valeria have joined us at our table when we visit with some of her relatives.

We had a few frustrations in our Mazatlan visit but this lunch will have us leaving with a smile. Just a very short walk off the main road. The atmosphere was just what we wanted, every item we tasted was excellent and the service from Luis made us feel as though we were beloved regular guests. We lingered after our meal just because we felt happy and welcome. I have no doubt that this will be a required stop on any future visits to the city. I’m sure there are places that cost less but we were pleased with the prices. A great value for the service and quality.

We like to take our special friends to Angelina's. The appetizers we share are filling and we usually end up taking our main meal as "Bolsa para Llevar" for a delicious meal back home. The Bar is well stocked and draft beer and microbrewery offers adds to an enjoyable evening

Yesterday I visited Angelina's Kitchen for the first time for a reunion dinner with friends. As for the food, I can say that it is well prepared and tastes good. However, the experience of the service left much to be desired, especially considering the level the restaurant projects.
Although the place was not full, it seemed obvious that there was a lack of service personnel, which affected our experience considerably. From the beginning, I noticed a clear preference towards foreign diners. At our table, we constantly had to strive to get the attention of the waiters, who seemed to avoid any direct interaction with us.
We ordered some tapas first (which by the way were fine), and then ordered a pizza and portobello burger at the same time. When asking the term of the meat, the waiter did not wait for our answer and simply left. He came back five minutes later, I said the term (three quarters) and he just said yes, but he never came back with the burger. There was no follow-up or explanation, which left a bad taste in the mouth about the service.
In addition, I noticed little staff training in basics such as offering recommendations, serving drinks correctly or being attentive to the needs of the table. I understand that lack of staff can be a factor, but the service should be up to the concept and the quality of the food.
This was my first Angelina's Kitchen experience and, while I know they have potential and a great chef behind them, I came away with a mixed impression: good food, but a service that needs a lot of improvement. I hope they take this kind of constructive feedback to elevate the overall customer experience, as they definitely have the elements to be an excellent place.
