Outstanding Service for Group Dinner

Our group of six visiting from Austin, Texas arrived at the remodelled restaurant and were immediately impressed by the new design and decor. We had made a reservation from the sister resort Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay and were seated very quickly with a great view of the ocean. Our waiter (Oscar) and his assistant (Angel) were amazing and provided the best service of any of the restaurants we visited during our week long vacation. Oscar was exceptionally charasmatic and charming, very funny and engaging with everyone in our group, and was always seeking out what might be needed or desired from anyone in the group. Angel provided superior support in his assistant role and was very quick in fulfilling requests for additional drinks and removing items that were no longer needed on the table. I have personally been to this restaurant many times since my first visit in 2005, and without a doubt, this visit was the most exceptional of those meals that have always been top notch experiences.

Lovely meal

We took the free shuttle from PB Emerald Bay into town and had dinner at Cilantro’s in the PB downtown. What a lovely restaurant. Apart from seeing waiters “sneaking” snacks at the one end of the restaurant, it was classy. Food was well presented and delicious. Much better than the food at PB Emerald Bay by a long way. VERY glad we were not staying at this hotel as it is currently being renovated so at least half of it is a big building site. We had to walk through a construction zone tunnel to get to Cilantro’s. Worth the walk on uneven ground as it seems ? this part is new: contemporary and smart with spectacular view of beach and sunset. Check if construction is completed before booking at this hotel. I cannot imagine construction banging and dust is much fun on a vacationing you want peace and quiet??

Pedro Angulo is the BEST bartender!

Pedro made us martinis each evening and they were all delicious! Cucumber, Jalapeño, Watermelon, Strawberry Cheesecake YUM He made us feel special with his warm welcome each evening. Carlos was also one of our favorite servers. These guys know hospitality and how to treat people. THANK YOU Pedro and Carlos :) Oh, make sure you get dessert - so good!!

Newly Remodeled with Great Sunsets!

Unfortunately their dinner menu items are only average with the upgraded dishes costing $15 to $25 per person more if you are staying at the hotel with the all inclusive package. Breakfast offered a nice buffet as well as ordering off the menu. Dinners are menu only. Menu items are not often served hot. Service is good, staff friendly and the sunsets fantastic. Before the hotel went all inclusive, this restaurant was five star with fantastic food items, a wonderful menu and wine list and very affordable.

Great food, beautifully presented, excellent service from favorite waiters,

Beach front restaurant, beautiful view while enjoying any meal. We ended up having every breakfast, but 1 here. Food is so yummy, but even our waiters I'd hire at any business I would own because of their customer service. Luis, Joel, and Antonio were excellent, and we would ask for them each time we come there. They made us feel right at home, and remembered our special favorites of what we like or didn't like. Especially my Mimosos, without a cherry. Thank you for a great experience.

Best restaurant at either Pueblo Bonito Properties in Mazatlán.

We went to Cilantros twice in our weeks stay at Emerald Bay and even with the taxi ride, ( there was no bus between resorts ) it was well worth it. They are by far the best restaurant between the two Pueblo Bonito resorts in Mazatlán. the food, and service was terrific. If you go to Mazatlán you should have this on your list as a must do.

Great food-Distracting background noise!!

We had dinner tonight at Cilantro’s, a beachfront restaurant in Mazatlan, Mexico. The restaurant has fabulous panoramic views, especially at sunset. The restaurant was refurbished from the ground up in 2019, in fact we visited it soon after it opened. Service is top notch, professional, and very fast. We had shrimp cocktails, salads, and the catch of the day. Everything was very tasty and served in an exemplary manner. The only issue was with the Banda musicians on the beach, that compete with each other. The noise is ear splitting. The one Banda tonight had a tuba, a trumpet, and a huge marching band sized drum. To try to cover up this noise ( was not successful) the restaurant was playing VERY LOUD recorded music- mostly rock and roll- “Johnny B Good” was one selection.These two different types of music did not add pleasure to the dining experience. It appears that Cilantro’s is trying to compete with the Banda noise, but they are only making it worse for their diners. I feel really sorry for their employees who are doing their best to provide a great dining experience, but the noise is worse than “finger nails on a blackboard “. I noticed one little boy who was sitting there with his hands over his ears!! So, my advice to Cilantro management is to stop trying to cover up the Banda noise-it’s making it worse for your customers . It’s too bad there is not a way to get rid of the Banda people legally. Cilantro diners & employees deserve a pleasant experience with soothing background music, not discordant music that splits your eardrums!!

Cilantro

Cilantro's is recently renovated and beautifully decorated. Food was very good and wait staff was attentive. Cuisine is more international than Mexican in my opinion, but you can't beat the views of the ocean! Worth a visit!

Outstanding view of the beach from multiple, big windows. Presentation and flavours of food are outstanding. Our favourite servers were Senor Enrique Bonilla Osuna and Oskar (natural entertainer and has a great desire to please guests).

Good Service, Nice View, Good Food

The view of the beach was nice, it's located in the Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan hotel. We ordered Tex Mex salad (was very small), BBQ short ribs with mashed potatoes - excellent. Filet with mashed potatoes was also excellent. Service was great. Would definitely go here again.

THIS IS A GREAT LITTLE RESTAURANT

Attraction in the past was to come for dinner and watch the sun go down over the Pacific. It's a great photo op. The newly remodeled Cilantros is beautiful inside and out. Cilantro's is on the beach in the Pueblo Bonito resort in downtown Masazatlan. This time we opted for lunch. A special treat. I enjoy the spaghetti wash down with red wine. Servers were attentive, the food was good, and it was a great lunch.

Solid Family Restaurant with great food, great service and good prices.

We were last at Cilantro’s in 2015 so overdue for a return. Still on the beach at the back of Pueblo Bonito hotel but it’s bigger now and more of a family style restaurant. Still solid food with fair prices and great service. Bright, spacious and well lit. We arrived at 5:30, in plenty of time for a window seat overlooking the bay. We both had mahi mahi and a margarita. Fish was accompanied with vegetables and rice. Well prepared, hot (temperature hot not spicy hot) and delicious. Attentive service without being rushed. We won’t wait 9 years for our next visit.

Epitome of great service!

This restaurant has great food but also wonderful service. The waiter and server were very accomodating. Everything was first class and the view was breathtaking. They also provided hand sanitizer at the end of the meal.

Best of Mazatlan

6 out of 5 experience! Fernando and Antonio took very good care of our family and made sure everything was perfect. My wife is celiac which made there task a challenge but they made sure everything was safe for her! Thanks so much. Would come back again and again!
