We enjoyed a wonderful dinner on a balmy summer evening in Chiang Mai. The terrace was occupied to the last place and in the lower part a larger company celebrated its birthday. Nevertheless, nothing of the hustle and bustle was felt, the staff was not only very friendly, but exuded a very good mood.
The duck breast salad (Laab) was a taste experience, fresh, spicy, fruity with light acidity and buttery coarsely chopped meat and looked as good as it tasted. Also the two shrimp dishes were perfect with lots of fresh vegetables and herbs.
Luckily we didn't get too far and can come back soon.

Was there last Saturday (unplanned invited) and then again on Sunday (planned invited).
Me as usual duck, on Saturday my girlfriend a prawn dish. Sundays 3 x duck, 1 x chicken and starter plate.
Very good quality, filling portions, overall very good value for money.
What should be mentioned is the ambience. From the table linen, to the wall decoration to many small things, everything seems very authentic and high quality without being cheesy.No loud music (not sure if there were any at all...). Very attentive but unobtrusive service. Also appealing is the division of the guest rooms into 2 levels. Upstairs the large dining room, next to the exit of the terrace slightly raised and separated a large table. Half a level down a smaller room with 4 tables. Another half level further down 2 medium-sized guest rooms for about 14 people each.
Unfortunately, not for wheelchair users (is just architectural - ancient, listed building). In the summer outdoor terrace, separated from the Danube only by a small driveway. Lots of parking on the Danube.

Whether duck beef or chicken, everything is very good and very nicely arranged for the eye. Service very friendly and accommodating. Not like in many other restaurants where no more service comes to the table to ask if everything was ok or something else is wanted.

Unfortunately, it is now only a shadow of what was a very good restaurant until a few months ago. The table we had promised to reserve was given to other guests on two visits, food orders were forgotten, and some of the dishes were not well presented at all. A dish with pineapple only contained 3 small pieces of the fruit, but was supplemented with lots of potatoes. There is practically no service, the waiters don't ask if you want to order anything else
(I sat there for 50 minutes without a drink). Extremely close seating, so very loud.
The overall quality of the food is much better at some take-away Thai restaurants in the area.
We noticed that the older generation of me is more present in the restaurant, and younger employees don't know what service means.
My tip: drive a few kilometers to Dillingen and go to Viet Hoa there, it's Vietnamese food, but 2 classes better!

The menu has many choices and portions are quite big. Even 2 person can share a main dish.

I was suprised by the quality of food here. For starter i ordered some spicy duck thing and it was excelent. For main meal I have tried some medium spicy beef with rice and I also enjoyed it very much. I recommend this place. The atmosphere is good, the waiters are also nice and they speaks english pretty good.
