Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Disappointed. And that is too bad since the food was good. The mandatory 15% tip for our party of two that was nowhere on the menu did not help. And, if service is average, I start with a 20% tip. If better, I go up...from there. This was the worst service I have ever had. Our waitress filled our water glasses and took our drink orders. This would be the last and only water we had. Drinks arrived. Appetizer arrived. Food arrived and we asked for a wine menu. She brought the wine menu and never came back until we chased her down for our check. No wine. No water refill. And we noticed another couple in the back who got up from their table to make our same waitress come over to give them their bill. Was it busy? No. There were four tables of people in the entire place and at least four waitresses we saw. Then to get a bill with the tip of 15% already included was simply insulting. I will never go back to this place. Ever.More

61 West is a very relaxing place to dine. It's right on Grand Anse beach. We did not get there until after the dinner hour. We were greeted and seated promptly. Everything from drinks to our meal were very good. The service was good as...well. They had live music while we were there.More

61 West is a great restaurant/bar on Grand Anse Beach, and I mean literally on Grand Anse Beach. My husband and I brought 14 people with us to Grenada, and I will not list the previous restaurants that miserably failed eventhough I had gotten in...touch while in the US, made the reservation, talked about group checks (not 14 individual) and in all cases we found ourselves waiting hours for food. I got in contact with 61 West while I was in the US, and they suggested that I share the menu, which they provided with the guests and order in advance. I suggested this to 2 other restaurants, but they let me know that this was CERTAINLY not necessary, and they were CERTAINLY wrong. We arrived at the restaurant, and we were immediately seated and greeted by a very ATTENTIVE and Patient Young Woman. We ordered drinks, which were all delicious and our "resident" teenager was all smiles when they brought him his Chocolate "Very Decadent' Milkshake. Our appetizers arrived for each individual in an extremely timely manner and the same for our entree. The food was tasty, and EVERYONE was beyond pleased. We had been so let down, and 61 West was our 3rd restaurant for the visit. Thank you 61 West for Great Drinks, Food and Extremely First Class Customer Service!!!More

Wasn’t exactly what we had expected but good was nice enough. Live saxophonist was great- just a shame we had the construction of a stage the entire length of the outside going on during dinner which ruined view and ambience. We had heard great things...but in all honesty wouldn’t be a place we would rush back to. Glad we tried it. It’s more of a beach bar than a restaurant and I guess we were disappointed as that’s what we had expected.More

Lovely dinner and impeccable service. I had lobster cooked to perfection. Wide choice of side dishes. Good seating inside and out with plenty of space between tables

This spot seems to have a nice ambience for dinner but that is all. The waitress did not listen to our request, gave us something we didn't want as an appetizer, took forever to somewhat rectify the situation. We waited one hour and fourty minutes...to recieve our entree with was ridiculously small and tasted like crap, waitress never came by to get us a drink, check on us or clear the table. Bad experience.More

Loved the fish tacos at 61 West! This is a casual spot on the beach but the food was much more than typical bar food. We enjoyed the live music when we were there for dinner. It was nice that it was not too loud...that you couldn't talk over it. We heard a lot of recommendations for Umbrellas (another restaurant on the beach) but we felt 61 West was much, much better for both food and atmosphere. We will definitely eat here again on a future trip to Grenada.More

Took a walk down the beach to explore. Stopped in just for drinks. If you go there you have to get the frose drink. We got like 2 of those each. We kept recommending it to everyone and everyone else started ordering them. A gem...of drinkMore

This place has a nice vibe and is on the beach. The food was good the two times we went--once for dinner, once for lunch. As with every place we tried on the island, we felt the food could have been better, but this was...up there with the best. Service was slow--not just slow, but that feeling you were being ignored intentionally which we didn't get considering restaurants are supposed to be about customer service. That said, we stayed in a hotel outside of Grand Anse. Once we witnessed the obnoxious behavior of some of the people from the cruise ships, we understood a possible reason for this--why the bartenders and servers tended to treat us with disdain. It is unfortunate to be grouped in with obnoxious people. I found myself trying very hard to prove "I am not THAT guy."More
