Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great lunch spot - quiet roomy restaurant on the edge of the beach in this quiet bay next to the small hotel to which it is attached. Good range of food with local ingredients. We came here twice during our week on Grenada. Very poor...signage to get there - the turn off the main road in La Sagesse is not signed, and there is no name sign at the end of the road when you get to the hotel car park! Howver, Google maps has its location exactly right.More

We had lunch one day and dinner another. Both were excellent. The shrimp is particularly good. This place is so lovely that it looks like a Mural. It sits right on the beach. It is an open-air restaurant with warm breezes. A friendly couple, from...the United States, owns and runs this restaurant. Their staff have been with them for many years. It’s a class act. Our server, Wendy, had a great laugh. She took very good care of us.More

Food was great, beer was cold, view was amazing! This beach truly is beautiful, road getting there is a little bit of a trek but worth it.

Delicious local food well prepared in an open-air restaurant right on the beach (amazing sunset!). Fantastic drinks as well, particularly the pina colada and rum punch. Lots of fresh nutmeg to be had. Highly recommended.

This restaurant was our favorite spot for the 10 days that we were in Grenada. The food was very good (not unexpectedly, the seafood options were best), the drinks were spot on, and the waitstaff were very friendly and accommodating. We ate here at least...3 or 4 times and really enjoyed it each time. I don't think that we have ever been at a restaurant that has tables quite so close to such a lovely and peaceful (and barely inhabited) beach.More

We used Google Maps to find La Sagesse. At first we thought we were lost then the hotel and restaurant appeared and we were in paradise. The restaurant is right on the beach, in a secluded little bay on the south east of Grenada. While...enjoying the view, we had a very nice lunch of roti and fish. The meal was excellent and the servers were very friendly and helpful. And after lunch, we did a quick change and enjoyed a couple of hours on the beach and in the water. Even with the construction on the far side of the bay, the La Sagesse beach was very idyllic and quiet. A perfect way to spend an afternoon in Grenada.More

We only visited the restaurant, not the hotel, but what a great stop. Food was excellent, the setting was perfect. Quiet bay where river meets the ocean, not crowded, restaurant terrasse very well setup near the beach, a very good moment.

Once again visited twice for a day on the beach and lunch at the restaurant. Such an incredible venue , so quiet ( ignoring the occasional noises from the building works across the bay)and relaxing with a very safe beach. On the first occasion the...beach was quite crowded with two other couples there on the loungers ( small local fee) and on the second occasion just one other couple. Fabulous setting but will be interesting to see the final impact of the hotel and spa across the bay. In the meantime, still recommend a visit- the restaurant is as good as ever, good menu for food and drink with speedy friendly serviceMore

We ate at this restaurant for eight dinners and never had a bad meal. Good soups, salads, and wine as well. It is just behind the palm trees on the beach and you can hear the waves.

Go visit/stay at La Sagesse as soon as you can! This is such a fantastic and tranquil spot in a beautiful bay with a gentle sea which is just perfect for swimmers of all standards - someone was teaching their young son to swim in...the gentle waters! We came as day visitors to the beach and thoroughly enjoyed lunch so much we kept coming back for more! Wendy was just lovely looking after us and serving up delicious fresh fish and salads which were spot on for lunchtime eating. We put a speed premium on getting here because there's a large resort/building complex under development on the opposite side of the bay - far enough away that we couldn't be disturbed, but will probably not be the same when it's operational and guests are spilling on to the beach! We had the place almost to ourselves and enjoyed afternoons of beach cricket without upsetting any of the other guests!More

Visited twice during our stay in Grenada. Fabulous setting and has barely changed over the last 30 years we have been visting apart from the building works on the far side of the bay which is apparently going to be a top class hotel and...spa - might look better ( and quieter) when it is finished. Loungers available for the beach ( not too expensive) and both times very quiet on the beach . Restaurant has a good menu with plenty of choices both food and drinks and friendly service.More

I came here towards the end of May 2021 to stay for a couple of weeks. Normally, I prefer not to eat at the hotels where I stay but la Sagesse is an exception as their food is phenomenally delicious. It always tastes home-cooked with...love and care. I have had nearly everything on the menu and it is difficult to pick a favorite. I am here to relax, write and reflect. And to update my book, The Intrepid Traveler.More
