About
Come enjoy our local cuisine, served tapas style. Humble grey and white wooden building designed to resemble what many Grenadian homes used to look like. We are located directly across the street from the Port Louis Marina entrance. 10 minutes drive from the town of St. George's, 15 minutes drive from the airport. No bells and whistles. Just good, local, home cooked food.

Based on the reviews, we made sure to eat here during our visit to Grenada. Did not disappoint. We both ordered the Grendian "tapas". This consisted of a cup of callaloo soup, five small plates of vegetables, another set of five small plates of vegetables, and then four small plates of meats. It ended with a spice cake with a chocolate rum sauce. Everything was well cooked and subtlely seasoned. My rum punch and my wife's non-alcoholic citrus punch were both great too. While we had already had some of the dishes elsewhere, the tapas is a great introduction to Grenadian cuisine, and at $65EC, a good value. (They have a full menu as well.) Service was friendly and attentive.

We have never eaten so well on Grenada, finally seasoned well and prepared deliciously with a lot of love ( by Mama Caren ). Very different from the whole Fast Foot on this island. Despite the simple equipment and slightly longer wait time when it is full, Patrick's is highly recommended. The prices are also fine and the friendliness makes you stop there again and again.👍🤗

A tasty meal indeed. On my last day in Grenada, I took a walk to Patrick's to purchase lunch for my wife and I. The food was cooked to order and the price was pretty okay for the amount of food you received.

We were so excited by all the positive reviews. We arrived, with a reservation, 6:30 pm to an empty restaurant with my extended family (adults and teenagers) and ordered entrees, 3 tapas orders for the table and bottled drinks which came right away from a charming waiter. The drinks came quickly and were great, but the food was partially released slowly over the next 3 1/2 agonizing hours, which was later than their stated closing time. We never received all our food and left in sorrow and hunger after someone in charge came to our table after 10 pm to explain defensively that they needed to serve 45 people in the now mostly empty restaurant, after several other tables left in anger. They tried to explain that the never fully delivered individual tapas dishes served, which matched the pictures fellow travelers posted here as individual dishes, was in fact three tapas orders and not one. When we pointed out that one plate with three plantain slices the size of the tip of your thumb could not possibly have served three people, they said it did. We were -not- as angry as the other diners who came and left before we did. We asked for a check with a request to skip the rest of the food order, and when that could not be accomplished after a lengthy period of time, we ourselves calculated the price of the full meals we had ordered, including food never received, and handed them cash. A couple at another table was observing this interaction in shock and later explained that this was their last night in Grenada, they were still hungry and unhappy as well and said they would write a review. The best part of the night were our several teenagers, who remained in good, but hungry spirits and we saved the night by scraping bestovers together at our rented house. Don’t let this happen to you, especially with young children, or you too will be adding your own tale of woe. Curiously, when we asked days later the opinion of several local native Grenadian guides from both our chartered boat as well as an all-day driving tour on whether they would recommend Patricks (we never told them our story) they said they were unfamiliar with the restaurant.

Listen to the recent reviews! I thought maybe these reviews were just one offs and we stupidly went here on our first night. What a huge mistake and embarrassment. We finally left after 2.5 hours of "tapas." 15 cold, tiny portions of food- 12 being vegetable. Maybe one forkful each tapa. We all 5 left hungry. We were never given the final tapa of spice cake because the waiter "couldn't find it" so he just didnt come back for a very long time instead of informing us. When seated we asked if they took cards and the answer was yes. At the end they only took cash bc "their machine was down all day." Overall zero stars and you should NOT bother eating here unless you arrive full and are in no hurry for beverages and enjoy sitting on hard chairs for 2.5 hours. The good reviews are from a different restaurant in my opinion.

Patrick's home cooking tapas menu has been a mainstay of our frequent trips to Grenada but this time they really dropped the ball. We had reservations for a group of 10 in advance to experience the wide variety of Grenadian Home Cooking we've had in the past. What we got (after waiting for hours) was an ill prepared and uninspired tapas menu that was obviously thrown together on the fly and lacked so many of those dishes we have come to expect over the past 30 years of visiting Grenada and Patrick's. If you're going to eat here skip the original tapas concept and order off the menu. Times have changed.

After seeing the reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided to come to Patrick's for lunch. The restaurant is easy to find, on the main road from Grand Anse to St George's, and right opposite the marina. Not sure about parking possibilities as we came with one of the local mini buses (Bus 1 from Grand Anse to St George's). The decor is basic but functional and exactly what you would expect from a place that is known for authentic local food; no frills expected and none attached. This is truly a one man operation, with the owner being the cook, waiter and also source of local knowledge. In terms of the food itself, we were a little disappointed that several of the items on the menu were not available, as I had heard good things about the 15 dish tapas menu, but there was still plenty on offer to choose from. I ordered the conch, while my girlfriend had the stewed pork. Both came with coconut rice and salad. This was my first try at conch (or conk as it is pronounced in this part of the Caribbean) and it was really good. The pork was also very tasty. The restaurant was by no means busy when we went, so we were able to eat at our leisure and with no rush. The food was very reasonably priced. When we enquired about local nightlife the owner was able to give us several options for both the Thursday and Friday nights. All in all, definitely worth a visit if you want authentic local cuisine in a relaxed setting.

Authentically home-style looking place. As in most restaurants, what’s on the menu and what is actually available has little connection. We came for oil down as this was “the authentic place” for it and tapas that had good reputation. They did not have either. Wait time was long, even though that was only one other table in use while we ate there (again, that is not unexpected) The food we got was good though. The soup is great, and the roti is both tasty and a good value. Fancier dishes were less impressive. Not perfect, yet it was one of the best meals we had on the island.

This is a "by locals, for locals" restaurant. The hosts were welcoming and the food was typical, serving the national dish, oil down. We also had barbecue pork and curry chicken, all good. They have won local awards for their food. Many workers stopped in for lunch, including carry out. It is quite hot midday. Take it slow and enjoy the visit!

This is a brilliant restaurant. We visited as we’d heard the food was good. Chefs Jerry and Raymond cook an outstanding tapas/tasting menu. Many Caribbean inspired small plates using local ingredients all available in the area. Both imaginative and skillfully cooked. Having visited the Caribbean island chain, especially the Windwards, for extended periods every winter over the last twelve years we have rarely found a good restaurant let alone one which has an authentic menu. The service was not speedy, it’s not Macdonald's but as we had not made a booking and as about a dozen small plates were served it was not surprising. If you're thinking of going it’s without doubt worth a Caribbean wait. We were served in less than fifteen minutes. And just because a restaurant doesn't appear busy it certainly doesn't follow that the kitchen isn’t. And in addition the tableware at Patrick's was scrupulously clean which matters to me!

This is a good place to taste authentic Grenadian food. The tapas special offers a small portion of about 18 different dishes. They come out about 5 at a time so you are not rushed and you get to sample a lot of delicious food. I especially enjoyed the Callaloo soup and the Oxtail. After the meal, the chef came out to say hello and I enjoyed talking to her about the local food. Highly recommended.

This restaurant was recommended to me by my AirbnB host, and I am so grateful! The owner and her son took excellent care of me! I asked for a vegetarian option and was made the most delicious meal I've had in a long time. I took it to go and dined on rice and peas, curry potatoes, veggies in a coconut cream sauce, and a veggie fritter...I was so pleased. I can tell the food is made with expertise and more importantly love. I can tell the owner and staff care deeply about service and quality. I highly recommend and will return. I've already raved about the food to others! If you want authentic Grenadian food, in a warm and friendly atmosphere, this is your spot.

If you're looking for an opportunity to learn how to make authentic Grenadian food then this is THE place. Prior to visiting, the locals we encountered on the trip said this is considered one of the best restaurants on the island. We quickly learned why after completing a cooking class. Karen and her sister were so friendly and personable. They patiently taught us how to make several small plates dishes that were DELICIOUS. The business is family owned and the style of the cooking class is in a smaller kitchen and homestyle which allowed us to feel like we were at home cooking amongst friends and family. Patrick's Restaurant aims to have a familial feel for its restaurant guests so it certainly extended to the cooking class experience. I highly recommend if you love to cook and are visiting the island OR if you're looking for a great restaurant for a meal.

When vacationing do you like to order, eat, pay and leave quickly? Do you like food that tastes just like you get at home? If so you will rate this place low. Try KFC or Pizza Hut in St. George’s. You will be happy. If you can set aside two and a half hours for a leisurely meal and are interested in trying some new fun things you have never tried before and some old favourites with different seasonings this is heaven. Try the tapes to get a food tour of authentic Grenadian food in one sitting without all the walking! By far my best meal in Grenada and flavours I will dream about for the rest of my life. The fresh lime juice, the gar fish, the ginger pork, the unique salads, the garlic breadfruit, the callaloo soup, to name a few, and the fruit cake made with tropical fruits is making me drool while doing this review. The owner Karen Hall is so nice, as was our waitress. Thank you for everything!

The term "Caribbean tapas" had us intrigued and our guide, Ashton, confirmed that Patrick's was more than worth a visit. We had an amazing dinner at Patrick's. This is a casual, local restaurant that serves an array of tapas. You will leave feeling very full. For a reasonable fixed price, we had callaloo soup, fish cake, green banana salad, garden salad, eggplant parmigiana, cucumber fritters, chicken salad, plantains with cinnamon, curried goat, fish in creole sauce, bok choy, rice and peas, green beans, sautéed vegetables, and stewed pumpkin. Every item was delicious! If you're interested in Grenada's cuisine, this is the survey course you need. Also, the service was excellent. I will definitely return to Patrick's next time we visit Grenada.
