Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The airy Arawakabana restaurant serves (Grenadian and North American/European and international fare) in buffet or al la carte according to the meal. Breakfast offers delicious and plentiful local e.g., saltfish souse. bakes, plantains, etc or North American/European e.g., muesli, porridge (oatmeal to US), cheese, bacon, sausages, etc., and a station where a chef cooks eggs or pancakes to order. For lunch there were always delicious daily soups e.g., callaloo, pumpkin, coconut and green fig, etc., for lunch and dinner. I loved these and found them so flavoursome and refreshing. There were always different fish, chicken, and beef options for lunch and for dinner. The fish is the star. I love Mahi-mahi but the tuna was gorgeous, and the marlin was a total surprise and just knockout. My favourites were the Grenadian dishes such as oil down and lambie souse. There was always a different rice dish, a potato option and always steamed vegetables and salads on offer. There was also a weekly Caribbean curry night – my favourite - and a pasta station on some nights. The desserts were okay at best but to be fair this course is not big in many cultures in hot climates. They cater for guests’ expectations where puddings are the norm in colder climes. I tended to avoid them as I loved the nutmeg ice cream or fresh fruit. The restaurant and bar staff were first class. In particular, Reanne, Kamasha (the biggest smile), Evril and in the bar Nigel (Mr peanut punch!), Kieron and Wendell.

The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Certainly not 5 star, but good. If you like fish and or pork, you will enjoy it sine it is served often and in variety. They have nice casual dress code, but we saw many folks not in compliance. The staff did turn away tee shirts from what we observed, but shorts on men were allowed.

I only ate breakfast here, although the dinner menu looked delicious. Buffet-style breakfast was very good, with a variety of dishes and fresh eggs and omelettes cooked to order.

Showed up without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised with the warm welcome, the cheerful red-splashed vibe, hospitable professional service and a bite to die for ! The smiley Cardel looked after us and recommended the set menu. It was beyond our expectations. All dishes were flavorful, colourful and finely prepared and presented. It was obvious how all ingredients were of superb choice. The appetizers stood to their name, the mains were tasty and filling, the red velvet cake just melted my heart away. The creative scoop of chilli & vodkka infused icecream crowned the night ! Thank you TEAM for a perfect Christmas Dinner. Back soon !

From a great selection of fresh fruit, juice, pastries, local menu or a delicious omelette, the choice is yours....great way to start your day. Good selection of salad if you are watching the waistline... Or wonderful selection of local and international dishes.

IMPORTANT... there is a dress code to follow so please either check the website or call to get clarity. The food is excellent and the service matches. My husband had on gucci sneakers and i had on a leather open toe sandal that strapped around the ankle we were able to dine. i think flip flops and athletic shoes and a no no. again, call to ask if you are not surfier your outfit will pass. We came to this place twice this week and will probably go back a third because where we are staying although a 5 diamond property the food just is not good at all so we are forced to go elsewhere for lunch and dinner. The first time we were not dressed properly but the did have space at the adjacent restaurant (same property) near the pool with the same menu so either way you will be fine. The rum punch is a favorite as well as the lobster mixed with veggies.

If you stay in the Grand Anse area there aren't too many breakfast spots - tones of lunch and dinner options but no breakfast ones or at the very least no traditional breakfast places... (the only really one outside of resorts is Le Papillon Cafe which is closed Monday/Tuesday and actually during our stay was closed completely as the owners were on vacation) The Grenadian Breakfast is about twice as much as Continental one and it gives you "access" to the typical "local breakfast" (which we truly enjoyed around the island) like johnny cakes (bakes), salt fish etc. - they do rotate items as 2 days in a row we had some different options to choose from Depending where you are seated there is some ocean view but make sure to be closer to the "outside walls" as it gets hot at times and having some occasional breeze hit you is very refreshing :) TIP: We ate here twice for breakfast and for about $35 USD including tax for buffet style of breakfast is not bad, considering it's on the Coyaba's grounds, especially it's all pretty tasty stuff TIP: they accept credits cards (no automatic gratuity included here though which is unusual for Grenada as I noticed every place that accepted credit cards automatically charged also 10% service charge)

This is the restaurant of the Coyaba beach resort. We were staying elsewhere and booked a table for dinner. Smart casual dress required. Overall the food was good however it’s far from a fine dining experience. Th3 only offering was a buffet, good but the restaurant resembled Euston station in the rush hour with a constant movement of people self serving. Really this is for the all inclusive guests of th3 resort and avoidable for interlopers!

I really can't imagine how disappointed you would be if you came to Arawakabana for dinner as a paying guest, rather than as part of an all-inclusive hotel stay. The restaurant has totally unwarranted airs and graces - demanding men to wear long trousers, closed shoes and collared shirts, and hotel residents must book a table and timeslot first thing in the morning ... but they don't have the decency to share the menu with residents until mid afternoon. Let's step back, the breakfast buffet is good, mixing the regular hotel fayre of bacon, sausage and eggs coked any way you want them with a couple of local hot dishes such as saltfish or fish patties with dumplings. Given the slow throughput of diners, there's no need to heap the hot dishes so full, leaving some stuff sat 'warming' for a long time though. Lunches also offered several choices of hot meat/fish - generally in sauce, and lots of fresh salad, with a little change each day. Evening meals were generally a limited choice of plated meals (though occasionally BBQ or other buffet) or a la carte menu - exactly the same as the smaller 'casual' poolside Carbet restaurant. Whatever the meat/fish you choose, it seems to come out as a tiny (less than palm-sized) tough and over-cooked portion. Never have I eaten such dry and tasteless tuna. It said it all when a gentleman on the neighbouring table asked the waitress whether he would be able to chew the pork on the menu that night ... the look he got told him that it was the same as usual, and a challenge for anyone over 60! Did I mention tiny portions? Well, the regular residents were having starter and soup to attempt to fill up ... probably because the deserts were generally flavourless and uninspiring - hence the popularity of icecream! Mostly, I feel sorry for the staff who have to attempt to maintain the veneer of desirability that the management want to pretend the restaurant has, but really, it's a poor package hotel dining hall. Like I said, you get the same food in the smaller Carbet restaurant, but a slightly more relaxed atmosphere, much more comfortable even if the meal is no more satisfying.

Part of All Inclusive stay - fruit and cooked breakfast was excellent but croissants etc were somewhat limited as a different texture to what we are used to and not to our taste. Lunches and dinners were all of excellent standard of cooking and presentation. Soups were superb.

We were staying at Coyaba Beach Resort and had breakfast at the Arawakabana Restaurant two days in a row. We had the buffet but you can also order ala cart. They offer eggs cooked to order including omelettes with lots of choices to make it the way you like them. There are many types of bread to choose from including pastries. Pancakes, potatoes, bacon, sausage, fish patties and other hot choices. There is lots of fresh fruits including cantaloupe, watermelon, mango, pineapple and papaya. The outdoor area is covered and very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. They also serve lunch and dinner. The restaurant is split into two areas. One closer to the beach. The main restaurant has a dress code for the evening that includes casual dress but no shorts. The beach restaurant is for casual and dress that includes beachwear. Great food and service. I’ll be back.
