My wife and I stayed at the sunset during our 6 week honeymoon and ate at the anchorage a lot. Amazing burger/beer lunch specials. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Good food but limited menu

The best meal we had at the Anchorage was the Sunday Night BBQ (NZ$42) with a good variety and everything fresh and good. The desserts were INCREDIBLE in variety and quality. We found the normal a la carte menu somewhat expensive and limited, especially if...you don't eat fish.More

Great place

Convenient meals available all day long. Open air design with modern decor. Sunday nite bbq buffet and show were good. Water by the glass freely available. Lunches have a good variety to choose from, fish and chips and pulled pork in soft tacos. Continental breakfast...included with our room, great variety of fresh fruit, cereals, juices, banana bread, toast and hot beverages.More

Good but not perfect

The food is very good and we enjoyed the live music (solo keyboard player). There's no sea view, the restaurant is in the middle of the resort, so ambience is a little lacking. The real problem was the service. We waited 20 minutes after being...seated before we got menus (after asking) and another 10 minutes before drinks arrived even though half the tables were unoccupied.More

Friendly staff and good menu

Visited this restaurant twice on our recent stay , very friendly staff and a decent selection of fish and meat options.Have a buffet with local entertainment on a Sunday night that was also good value and entertaining.

Service and food both very good.

Open-air, covered restaurant with friendly staff, excellent service and very good food. Fans keep you cool and the setting within the grounds of the Sunset Resort is very pleasant. Separately managed from the Sunset Resort. Good value for money. Apart from dinner meals we were...here for the Christmas buffet lunch.More

Great Meal

We chose the Anchorage as it was close to our accommodation at the Edgewater and wanted a "nice" meal for our last night in Rarotonga. The staff were just lovely, even if a little shy. We shared the Ika Mata for our entree, pork belly,...mahimahi and a kids fish bites meal were our mains. All were excellent and priced reasonably for the high quality. The presentation of the food was beautiful.More

Great meals

We went for dinner here and both had fish dishes. Both were so good and definitely one of the best meals we had while in the Cook Islands. The staff were also lovely and attentive, and it's a great relaxed venue.
