Good food, reasonably priced. Quiet place close by our place. Beef and broccoli, smoked marlin fettuccine. No water unless you pay for a bottle. Take always for $12/plate chicken chow me in and spicy seafood with rice.

Great food, great value!

Beautiful fillet steak cooked to perfection on two different orders, a tasty seafood curry and pan fried Parrot fish, all topped off with delicious fresh salad. The steak package included garlic bread entree and a choice of desserts. Washed down with delightful cocktails or an ice cold beer. The service is exceptional and everyone is super friendly 👍

Best Steaks and Best Value on the island.

A long time iconic restaurant by now, we had to go there this time. Very friendly hosts, very tidy place and a dated but very cozy atmosphere reminding us of the good old days here. We had ribeye steaks, medium to rare, perfect. Came with chips or oven potatoe, vegetables and salad from the bar. Absolutely beautiful and generous. Lager beer from Rarotonga Breweries, fresh from the tap was another delight because they had the temperature just right. They also offer takeaway food on the far end of the restaurant. Very tidy ship. highly recommended.

Lovely food at Alberto's

After going to Alberto's one night for takeaways and finding the food to be really good we decided to go there for dinner another night. Once again we both had lovely meals. The night we were there, the restaurant was well supported by locals as well as holiday makers. I believe it says everything when you go to a restaurant and a lot of locals are dining there. The restaurant could do with a makeover, however, it is on the market so you can understand why that isn't happening. The management are very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend Alberto's to others.

In our 10 days on Rarotonga we dined at Alberto's twice, which probably tells you what we thought of it. While keen to try lots of different dining experiences (and we did), we found Alberto's to be the best dinner offer and so went back. Immaculate premises with a homely touch, engaging hosts, friendly but efficient waiting staff and the food was really good. The steak was the best we had on the island (given there is no local beef industry) and the fish was beautifully fresh and perfectly cooked. The parrot fish was the pick, though mahi mahi was also really good. We would certainly go again and probably order the same dishes.

Cozy Spot with Yacht Club Vibe

I enjoyed this little treasure, great staff with a nice menu of options made us happy to stumble in last eve. Great grill items and a nice salad bar offering. Neat as a pin with flags of the world decor that reminded me of many a yacht club I’ve discovered. Attentive service and nice ambience. We’ll be back. Thank you for a memorable evening.

The Best Steak

We went to Alberto's Restaurant on our last night in the Cook Islands we saved the best for last. Honestly, we both had steaks and they were sensational better than some fine dining places we have been to. fresh tasty and well cooked we loved our meal. thankyou

Nice Place

Quaint resturant, small menu but variety … primarily steak, seafood, pasta but did have mixed plate and chicken etc. nice salad bar. Loved the curried paw paw. Chocolate cake was Devine. The only negative is ordered steak medium and came out well done. None the less it was very tasty. Reasonable prices. Friendly and attentive staff

Great whiskey, steak and prawn

Our first time eating here. A quiet and initimate spot with lovely attentive staff. The Ribeye steak with prawn was amazing! We ordered the single malt whisky and we just admired the glass it was served in. Our host was so generous when we complimented the whisky and the glass that he gave us the glass to take home!! What an amazing gift and memory to celebrate our 10yr wedding anniversary ❤️

Sadly a bad, bad experience

We have been visiting the island for 22 years and had never managed to get to Alberto’s. Sadly it was the worst dining experience we have ever had on the island. Words can’t really describe. Under seasoned, poorly cooked steak. Not a lot of love involved.

Simply perfection!

Faultless dining experience! This place was a special highlight. The atmosphere when you walk in is so warm and welcoming. The staff were exceptionally professional and knew the menu well. The steak....that STEAK! Was devine. It was like butter cutting through it. The pawpaw and curry salad was a new favorite find. YUM! Some places will stay with you when you leave ....and this was one of them. It really was one of the best dining experiences I ve had in a long time. Thank you!

Casual vibe and comfort food

It's a cozy restaurant with a fairly basic menu. One of the few places on the island that really promotes their steak. While it was tasty meal, there was nothing overly special about it. Appreciated the fresh veggies available on the salad bar. A good, solid meal. We appreciated the great service provided by Fraan.

The best steak on the Island!!!

We come to Rarotonga every year to visit family and always come here for a meal. The best steak on the Island, fresh salad bar and amazing service and atmosphere. Their steak special is a winner, with 3 courses. Been already a few days ago will be going again before we leave. 10/10
