This place, like a 1950's diner/soda bar was heaving at breakfast probably because it was cheaper than the Mural Room and had a slightly more extensive menu choice. We managed to find two seats and had a fairly decent breakfast. The service was terrible, again populated by surly youths who had no idea what they were supposed to be doing. We waited ages for pancakes which were eventually delivered by a more mature female member of staff who actually understood the concept of good service. It was quite a shock! And the pancakes were good.

This is basic 50's style diner eating at the counter, service was for the most part very good, seemed like they had a good amount of staff (as with anyplace some were better than others). All the food we tried over the couple days we were here was reliably good and the price was reasonable for a vacation location. Breakfast was served pretty quick and most of the portions we had were big. The menu had a lot of variety and options for almost anyone I would think. We went back several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner over multiple days. Was open good amount of hours.

We had dinner here a couple of times when we were staying in the cabins at the Jackson Lake Lodge. The restaurant is a 50s-style diner with about the menu that you would expect at such a place. It is, generally speaking, not health food, but it is perfectly good fare for this genre, and though it is a little more expensive than it might be at home, you are in a National Park, so it's not unreasonable. The wait staff was extremely friendly, and many were knowledgable about the park and its surroundings and very eager to share. They were willing to above and beyond service-wise, but were somewhat distractible also. The seating is at a convoluted bar that takes up most basically all of the restaurant, so there is either no private seating. For a quick dinner, especially with kids, this is a great option, unless you have dietary restrictions or hate 50s fare (there are a couple of salads, and they are fine).

Good place, visited in previous years, but government ineptitude kept most places, including this place, closed for the season. One had to basically bring one's own food for the most part in this park, and most other poorly run government places. But of course, businesses were open in Jackson with proper safeguards which seemed beyond the abilities of the Nat. Pk. Service.

The food here was fine, but I have a dairy sensitivity and asked them to remove the cheese. Nope. No substitutions due to covid. I wasn’t asking for much just a hamburger with no cheese. This is the only option in the hotel without a reservation so plan accordingly. It was very disappointing to pay $$$ for a hotel room and the only choice to eat was a garden salad. This is simply unacceptable.

To go orders only in 2021. Specialty is supposedly huckleberry milkshakes. But I tried three times to get one and staff always had excuses for why they were not available -- today's shipment of milk had not arrived, they had run out of huckleberries, etc. Manager in charge of planning is not the right person for that job. I did have a chicken Ceasar salad and it was not very good. Unfortunately, outside of fine dining at the Mural Room, this is your only real food choice at the Jackson Lake Lodge in 2021.

Only open for takeout with a limited menu. We ordered on line fro. Our room. The app said 25 minutes, we started to get ready and 3 minutes after ordering we got the text our food was done. Regular burger, bison burger, fries and cucumber/tomato salad. The "salad" was three slices of Cucumber and 4 cherry tomatoes halved, no dressing. Fries were average, burgers below average.

The Jackson Lake Lodge was operating under COVID restrictions so the pool was closed, disappointing, but understandable. Wish they had something for the kids (fire with smores, games, coloring books, anything- since the pool was our go to for non park activities and it was closed and there aren't TVs in the rooms). The property and lodge is lovely, scenic mountain views. Well kept and nice staff. Coffee bar had good food, great service. Restaurant had limited, reservation only seating. We couldn't get a table, at any time for the 4 days we were there. Wish they had opened up take out or outside eating given how bad the Pioneer Grill food was. We drove about 12 minutes and ate elsewhere when we could. Pioneer Grill had a very limited take out only menu. Online ordering was preferred, but didn't work most times. Of the 3 or 4 menu items for breakfast or lunch/dinner, one was always out of stock. Ordered burgers for the family and requested medium well. They were bloody and raw. Pretty gross. Ordered a breakfast burrito and received about a tablespoon of egg/sausage fillings. Cashier looked surprised and annoyed when I brought it back. They did make me a new one and it was fine.

This place is better than your average diner and no reservations are required. I had a buffalo chicken wrap, but they were out of blue cheese dressing, so I had to have Ranch, but it was tasty. My wife had the turkey melt which she liked. For dessert, don't pass up the Teton Treo. You get three desserts for $12.00, that would have cost $25.00 separately and you can get it to go. Service was above average, iced tea was good. When I returned the next day, I ordered food to go, they don't take orders on the phone and you can't order the steak to go.

Good atmosphere for fans of a 50's dining experience. Service was erratic. At our first seating, we were ignored to the point that we moved to another area and our server was great. If you want your eggs scrambled soft, forget it. (mine were rubbery and tasteless). I also had biscuits with sausage gravy. The biscuits were hard and the gravy had an unrecognizable, bitter taste. When our server asked how my meal was I was honest about my experience. She was very apologetic and offered to bring me "something else" but I assured her that she was not the problem and that more bad food wouldn't help. The prices were predictably high (there are few choices here) which further diminished the overall experience. The coffee was good, however.

Why does the National Park Service allow mediocrity in the National Parks? Got a hotdog as this place and the server used his bare fingers to dispense the cheese into the cup. I didn't eat the cheese. How can a restaurant not even make a decent hot dog? Had to step over trash on floor to get to seat. Waiter spent more time discussing the party he was going to that night instead of attending to his customers. Very unprofessional.

We stayed in a cabin at the Park. The cabin was fine....the food options not so much. There was the 'find' dining restaurant that was understaffed so could not fill the normal seating and was, thus, always filled up. The Pioneer Grill was the only other option available. The first night was got the wings. They were so dry it was like eating jerky......so overcooked. They make NOTHING to order. It is all made ahead of time and set in warmers. The next meal my husband asked about the burgers and if they were made ahead. The server said they normally were but because they were so busy, they were making them to order. When it finally came, it was a hockey puck. Black and hard. He took it back and got another one that was slightly better but still NOT made to order. So unfortunate that the food quality could not be better. I know people are short staffed, but this was pitiful.

The place to go for a quick meal at Jackson Lake. The main dining room in the lodge is excellent for breakfast, but way too expensive and slow for other meals, so this is your option unless you go to Colter Bay or Signal Mountain. The usual comfort food and diner menu options, provided in a setting that is stools and Formica. You will be meeting the people next to, and across from, you.

Food was overall quite tasty and the staff expertly accommodated my medical dietary needs (celiac, so gluten free) I enjoyed two very yummy dinners over our stay and was thankful they were able to provide such fresh, tasty food. The sage tomato soup was excellent. Yum.

Over the years I’ve had trouble getting an undercooked burger here but had a very nice one on this day last August. We’re sorry to hear it’s not going to open this year. But service is quick and friendly and the food is good. I’ll be glad when they’re open again.
