Beef raising seems to be an art in Japan! The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet lane and it was a pleasant surprise to see that their cherry blossom tree was still in bloom after others had shed their flowers! Some of us chose...More

For our last meal in Japan, we knew we needed Kobe beef. We had already tried a few teppanyaki places and wanted something different. Our hotel was able to make us a reservation at Kobe Beef Kaiseki 511 a few days in advance and we...More

One year on and we are back in Japan for it's winter season, back to the Kobe restaurant we had such fond memory of, salivating as we recalled the tenderness of the Kobe beef. So again, we went there for both lunch and dinner, wanting...More

The staff are wonderful and explained the history and types of Kobe beef well. The menu was delicious and we upgraded one of our steaks to better type and larger size. It was a meal neither of us will forget for a long time. Sake...More

One of my worst meals in Japan. Our Japanese business host took us to this restaurant for lunch. We were brought to a private room and were served the hamburger and a set meal with grilled beef. The latter was almost inedible, dry and without...More

You can find the best grade and quality of Kobe beef A5.12 here. We had the Japanese fusion menu, it was delicious and the staffs were very friendly. On top of that, we were also given a Kobe Ramen as a souvenir.

First of all yes it’s pricey, BUT it’s an experience along with the great tasting beef. We had the Kobe Beef menu starting with Sashimi of yellowtail/kobe beef, appetisers with various forms of kobe beef, the lobster (think upmarket surf & turf) in hollandaise sauce...More

So here's the deal...Kobe beef is delicious...but I defy anyone to really tell me it's that much better than top grade beef at a North American steakhouse at three or four times the price. i.e. the meal was lovely. If it had been 10,000 yen...More

Had the 8 course Jap style. You’ll have someone explaining each course when served. If you are a big eater, you can opt for the main course which you would need to pay extra for a few more grams of meat. Overall, the dining experience...More

Akasaka / Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were
famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants,
bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of
Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the
area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot
to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art
Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art

Some of the Kobe beef dishes are cooked all the way through so there is no need to feel pressured to ask for rare or feel as if you are disrespecting the chef. Try the Kobe with rice. You’ll see it on the menu and it’s... More
