Finally we can enjoy our favourite restaurant again, coved changed a lot in how we socialise and interact, however what has not changed is the quality of the food and service at Pitchfork restaurant at peregian Beach . We had a great lunch starting with beef capatio and the beef eye fillet and a nice desert to finish a great lunch and the service is second to none. Great day thx Pitchfork

In these Covid times it is amazing to find a fully functioning restaurant, albeit with social distancing and a somewhat attenuated but nonetheless inviting eclectic menu. My pork dish had a sauce to die for, and came with a spoon to mop up the remainder. Full marks to the food, but what I want to write about here is the truly outstanding service offered by it's young staff. They were all well trained, attentive and unfailingly pleasant, a rare finding in this modern restaurant world. 11/10 for service that made dining a pleasure.

Balmy night with a bit of a breeze made for a pleasant night out at Pitchfork, Peregian Beach. The menu is relatively small but as the tile of this review says they use quality mainly local ingredients and treat them well! We shared a baked goats cheese with honey walnut truffle dressing and a house sourdough. We couldn't go past the chilli and garlic sand crab linguine for mains paired with a simple cos lettuce salad dressed with parmesan and white balsamic. The food really was excellent. Service was friendly, prompt and efficient. Make sure you book ahead even during the week!

My husband and I and our friends used to dine regularly at Pitchfork when the Harvest chef took over and we loved it but a year we had Peking Duck pancakes there and the duck was so tough it was inedible so we hadn’t gone back until today. Today we went there for lunch and we were very disappointed - the fish curry at $37 was a very dry overcooked piece of fish in a bowl with a small amount of green curry sauce (the fish hadn’t even absorbed the flavour of the curry) a few bean shoots and a bit of ginger - no rice or veggies and when we asked for rice they said all they could give us was a spoon to eat the curry sauce. We were hoping to have a long lunch and skip dinner but we were still hungry - we are not going back until we hear they have a new chef. The dessert was good.

I live locally & ventured from Twin Waters to Peregian Beach some months ago to dine at Pitchfork & had a wonderful night. We loved the food & decided to go back for our daughter's birthday. Our daughter lives in Townsville & especially wanted to re-visit Pitchfork. We appreciate that it can get busy & service may be a bit slow at times in the current environment. But we experienced a very slow night, there was no organisation with front of house. Meals were being delivered to the wrong tables, service of drinks was extremely slow & there was no direction from anyone to do anything? Very disappointing. The Eye Fillets had flavour & were cooked to order. The fish on the other hand was bl;and, dry & rated average. We had a number of shared plates for an entree & were satisfied with the quality. But what really let the restaurant down was the service. The staff were pleasant but were out of their depth. They lacked experience & it showed. The restaurant was busy & the staff were overwhelmed. Not a good combination. It maybe a while before we attempt another try. Disappointing really.

We’ve wanted to visit for a long time. Heard good things about this venue. We were a bit disappointed! Food was very good, but the service was only average. The octopus entree didn’t look great, but tasted good! The pork belly entree came with a quince accompaniment coated in coriander, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu, and isn’t everyone’s favourite. We expected fine dining but ambience is beach casual, with no tablecloths and paper napkins. The pricing is right up there with the best in the region, but the overall package was below par. Wine list is quite small, though the wine we chose was good. We had a celiac in our group, but even though GF options were widely available, the waiter constantly advised us that cross contamination could not be ruled out, which didn’t give us much confidence and ruled out most of the GF options!! Overall, for the prices charged, our experience was average.

We have dined at this restaurant regularly but have certainly noticed a decline in recent months. To be fair, it’s been a terrible time for restaurants here for a couple of years where it’s obvious all have staffing issues. So I’ll refrain from going too hard on the junior service staff. However where I frankly feel “mugged off” is the obvious menu engineering where prices have been increased but food quality has been cut. It’s a pleasant spot and I really hope they can find a way to make the menu more appealing for the price, which ain’t cheap.

Our last family meal together before one of daughters was heading backing to the UK. Our booking was for 6.15pm & we were seated promptly. Our mains arrived at 8.15..... if you think a 2 hour wait is acceptable then this is the restaurant for you, if not then suggest you eat elsewhere. When politely queried we were told that we shouldn't book between 6 & 6.30 as that is their busiest time! My observation was the restaurant was about 75% full with alot of people sitting waiting for food. Sadly the experience did not match the price tag which was such a shame. I wish the owner well.

Hadn’t been to Pitchfork for a few years after several mixed experiences but thought it was time to give it another chance. What a disappointment. Whilst the service was friendly and efficient enough, the food was really lacking in presentation, flavour and value for money. The squid entree was soggy and tasteless, the confit duck leg which two of us had for main was extremely dry and tough, so much so it didn’t even taste like duck. In summary, very over priced, won’t bother going back.

First time at Pitchfork, and it was one of the better meals we’ve had in Noosa area. Unfortunately we’ve been a bit underwhelmed, but I think we’re a bit spoilt in inner city Melbourne. I’m very much hoping Sum Yung Guys will help lift the averages. At Pitchfork we had a doz coffin bay oysters, freshly shucked at $3 ea were well priced and fresh so off to a good start. Mains we had prawn risotto and pappardelle duck ragu, both were very pleasant. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. All in all a good, reasonably priced lunch in lovely Peregian Beach

On Saturday night for an early seating we, a party of four, enjoyed a very tasty meal! The eggplant entree and cuttlefish entree were excellent. The eye fillet steak was cooked perfectly, I had a vegetarian pasta as did my daughter. For dessert we enjoyed the passion fruit roulade and the chocolate caramel pie. As locals we often pass by this restaurant but had never eaten there. We have now added this restaurant to our repertoire. Highly recommend the food. Book early so you are not disappointed. 👍

With home time beckoning we ventured out to a local restaurant one last time. Pitchfork could squeeze us in and overall I think it was worth it. Two eye fillets (one med/rare and one med/well) both cooked perfectly to order. My sand crab linguine was lovely. Just enough bite from the chilli without overpowering. Service was friendly but not exactly snappy given the number of diners was not high. Nowhere near a must do if in Peregian but quite a nice spot to dine. One tip, don't sit at table 1 if it is a hot night. There is a vent blowing hot air from a bench nearby.

My $38 Market fish dish contained a very small end fillet piece of barramundi. Disgraceful given the price. Also made it very difficult for the pre booked group I attended with to pay despite allowing split bills on previous visit. Will not be back

Forgettable and regrettable meal in what should have been a lovely night out. The on-line booking system asked for any specific details to inform the staff, Yes I thought, it's my mums 88th birthday, so why not make a fuss? Started really well when the young and help staff recommended some proseco to start the evening. Yummy! On ordering we enquired if the prawns were local and were reassured that yes, pretty sure they are local. Well actually more south than here - more like Tweed bait than Mooloolaba. Things got bit more wobbly when the crispy skinned duck actually came out battered duck. Inedible. The young wait staff put on a brave face when clearing half eaten plates and told the food was disappointing. No reaction from management in may form, so unlikely to return.

Fantastic meal with friendly service. A funky restaurant that always provides a great meal at a good price. We had the roast chicken and truffle mashed potato (yum) and the kids enjoyed beautiful eye fillet steaks. It was a lovely evening and will be back again soon
