Sitting on timber piles on the waterside beside the road just outside the small town of Manganui, on an inlet beside a sandy bay in north east North Island. Excellent choice of fresh fish & shellfish well cooked and presented

World famous for fish and chips. And the setting is nice, overlooking the harbour. Great selection and all fresh. We don't need to wait, but when we walked out a bus had arrived and a queue snaked down the street.

An institution! Fresh fish and hearty chips while sitting over the water at Mangonui wharf. Has to be done! Loved the resident shag (bird) waiting for scraps. Only downside - no gluten free options for fish.
