Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The best coffee and hot chocolate in the Coromandel peninsula - great atmosphere and seating - fireplace and locals happy to chat. Well worth the visit.

We have now had lunch twice at Foragers, and 'pizza Friday' once. Each time we have received a warm welcome, and enjoyed really tasty lunch and dinner food. Plus, the design is a great relaxed retro space with plenty of colour. One of the most...warm and welcoming spots in the Coromandel.More

We stopped in at the Foragers Café for lunch while out on a day trip up the Coromandel Peninsular. It was fantastic! The menu was so good we were spoilt for choice. When our plates arrived we were impressed. Then the taste....omg it was soooo...good. It is a place we would definably go back to. The staff were very really friendly and the atmosphere was wonderful. Our stop was just before the gallery opened so I can't comment on that - a reason for us to go back!More

Lovely fresh melt in the mouth fish, and chips, and nice coleslaw, was a very hot day, and sitting outside at a big long table, there was a lovely fresh breeze

Wow I had two lunches here recently and both were very tasty, nicely presented and good price. Coffee was great. Large asked for came in a delightfully large cup with saucer. Well done. Will be back and highly recommend to anyone passing through.

There might be only 2 cafes in Colville but head to The Foragers & you won’t be disappointed. Lovely friendly guy served us 4 hungry tired cyclists. I had the “fush n chups” panko coated gurnard. Delicious! Served with really good fries & a lovely...salad. The man had a huge raspberry & White chocolate muffin, a meal in itself. Neat ambience, with good outdoor seating.More

I had the best ever creamy mushrooms on ciabatta (with a perfectly poached egg on top) here. It seemed to be a one man show (with locally sourced ingredients) as chef and waiter (lovely chap!!) My partner's eggs bene and bacon looked great but as...I didnt want to share any of mine, I wasnt getting any of his!!! A smallish, but very yummy sounding menu ... somewhere I will definitely be returning to!!More

The Forager's Kitchen offers excellent fare and the best coffee and chai latte in NZ. Colville is a welcoming, small place to immediately feel at home in. Check out the old-style volunteer-run post office!
