People come from far and wide for the donuts, but you'll need to arrive early after opening if you want one. Imagine an almost perfect sphere of sugar-coated extravagance filled with custard and berries, and you get the idea. The coffee is good too.

Kids love the donuts, eggs bene was yum. Awesome I could have my little dog there outside. Highly recommend nice to walk the beach after good location.

Was on our way to Paihia and detoured to have a look at Ruakaka. Being lunchtime we thought we'd give this little gem of a place a go. It looked fairly busy which is always a good sign. Husband and Father in Law said their...omelettes were amazing. Filled with spinach, tomato, cheese and potatoes. Beautifully presented and was very tasty. One child loved her kids French Toast with bacon, banana and maple syrup. The other child woolfed down a kids Hawaiian Pizza. Generous portions but not unmanageable. I ordered the chicken salad which was superb with crispy noodles and a mango dressing. Coffee was fantastic as were the kids hot chocolates. Very friendly staff and such amazing value. On Sunday, we finally got a chance to try The Bach Cafe, and really enjoyed it! It was a lovely atmosphere, buzzing with people, and super friendly staff. Enjoyed a fantastic mocha, and a lovely flat white, eggs bene with portobello mushrooms, and French Toast...with beautiful crispy smoky bacon. Both of us really loved our meals - we will definitely be back!More

This quaint cafe is a stone throw from our B&B. There is inside tables as well as outside picnic size tables. A small menu but lots met my eye. I choose the fish and chips. Nice lightly battered tasty white fish, good fry’s and a...nice salad. Friendly service made it a great lunch!More

Had a great breakfast at the bach this morning. Friendly staff, I had great corn fritters the best I have ever had and the other half had his usual french toast which he said was fab! Highly recommend along with a walk along the beach...once finished.More

Excellent coffee! We went back twice for the coffee hit. Family friendly, children’s menu items. Both children loved the junior french toast and smoothies. Friendly staff and food came out faster than expected as it’s a busy place. Great music and excellent location by the...beach.More
