Tried the soup of the day, and also some grilled fish plates. We were a total of 5 people, each one totally satisfied. Everything was delicious, and the host was super friendly. Had a pretty nice and pleasant conversation over various traditional topics, which we all really enjoyed. The best part though, over a glass of El Gomerón, la bebida típica de La Gomera, was the host explaining to us its history and the whole production process. It was enlightening, to say the least. All in all, a really pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend it.

It was great from the beginning. We had the fish of the day and the house wine .The fish to the point. The wine was also very tasty . The cook inquired very politely and reservedly if we liked it.. and the chef had a very sympathetic charisma.. what of course also totally impressed us was the great view.. oh and the music was the cherry on the cream . The price okay and we gladly paid...of course with tips.. finally an absolute must if you are allowed to holiday in the valle gran rey.

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel, also situated in La Calera, therefore convenient for me.
El Mirador is run by brother and sister, Suso and Pili, the cook. And my god, she can cook!
The menu doesn't have many options, but for me that is usually a sign that what they do, they do well.
I took the 'chuletas', and I must say it was the best pork chops I have had in a really long time. The vegetables & rice came fusion Asian style, which was surprisingly in balance. The red house wine was also worthy.
Suso, the brother, is very friendly, and clearly tries to give the a good experience. I was more than satisfied! Thank you! 🙂

The food was super delicious! The view over the whole valley with quiet chill-out music is great.
The cook knows very well how to bring something special to the table with great skill.
The vegetables taste excellent. The fish fillet was super tender and very nicely presented. Rice and good little papas. All together a poem.
The almond flan with small pieces - a dream. (The other desserts were also very good)
I was there every other day last week - nowhere else in the valley has it tasted so good. The host seems a bit grumpy at first - but he is really very nice.
The price-performance ratio is absolutely right. I'd be happy to go back any time!

The starter, almogrote prawns, a scam: 10 prawns for 18 euros. It was good though. Little variety of dishes, and none of quality meat or fish, only chicken, pork and hake, for the price of a beef tenderloin. Nice space.

We had a fantastic meal at this restaurant.The food and service were outstanding and a good price too.Not a huge choice on the menus but I think this is better really.
If I can be slightly critical I found the owner to be rude and miserable.We arrived for lunch initially and were told rudely the restaurant was closed as he had to clean up as it had been windy the day before.Why not lock the door then!!
He wasn't really pleasant when we came back in the evening but the food was fantastic so we would recommend

When we are in the Valle we always make it a point to eat at El Mirador. It is still a real insider tip. Of course you have to earn your food first, because there are a few steps to overcome. But you will then be rewarded with a beautiful view and a great atmosphere and location. The food is impeccable and the prices are very reasonable.
The supposedly grumpy boss is actually very friendly and warm, especially if you dare to speak a little Spanish with him.
And the almond pudding, which other reviewers here also celebrated, is a stunner. Definitely try it! (The portion isn't too monstrous and you still have room for it after eating.)

A very nice, typical Canarian restaurant with friendly service and very tasty food. Much better quality and tastier than other restaurants we tried on La Gomera. The rabbit is my favorite, incredibly tasty! Sometimes you can also get goat, which is also super tasty! I went there 4 times with my family and it was always great. I can highly recommend it.

The food was good and very lovingly prepared. Suso is an excellent and attentive waiter. He may seem grim, but that is not the case at all. Instead, he seemed very authentic to us and was happy about our helpless attempts to order in Spanish. Over the course of the week, he recognized us several times on the street and greeted us in a friendly manner. If we are in Valle again, we will gladly come back.

The food was very good, we had rabbit and 'fish of the day'. Both very tasty and plentiful. Prices at the upper end of the region but acceptable. The service was somehow cool and casual, so we forgave him for the long wait, even for drinks.

The very best restaurant of La gomera !
The main dishes are perfect and so tender, i strongly recommand the pollo con mango sauce !!
You need to uphill a little bit and leave the beach, but it’s totally worth it. Plus there is less people than on the beach’s restaurant and that’s a good point that make this place very peaceful, specially if you are a couple

The views and food in this restaurant are amazing, I have eaten in some of the best restaurant in London and this is on par with them, the owner and staff very friendly and food typical to the island, but on a different level, I would recommend anyone visiting la gomera to eat here especially if you are looking for something a little more special. 5 stars
