Our plans to have lunch in Baume les Messieurs further up the road were thwarted, and on a holiday weekend for Sunday lunch, I did not have high hopes of finding anything good at the late hour (by provincial France standards) of 1:00pm. When I...called the restaurant, they were booked, but a table of 4 who had reserved for 12:30pm had not shown up yet, so the charming lady of the house asked me to call back in 5 minutes to give her time to contact the missing party. When I called back, she confirmed that we could have their table, and what a lucky break that was! From the moment we arrived, we were treated to extremely prompt and gracious service, despite the fact that they had 2 enormous tables celebrating special occasions and several other smaller tables already in progress on their lunch. The food was flawless, some of the best ris de veau I've ever had, and the view was lovely. An amazing surprise in the middle of nowhere in the Jura, all at excellent value for the money. I will definitely make it a point to come back here, but will be sure to reserve first, as the locals clearly know what a gem they have here.More

We live in UAE, and we're lucky enough to have a home down the road from this lovely family run restaurant. Yes the service goes up and down, and the menu basically hasn't changed in twenty years. That's why we keep coming back. It's just...traditional Jura cuisine cooked with love. How unlike UAE can you get?More

A mix of traditional cuisine with ingenious modern twist, had a salmon carpaccio and perch filets, absolutely amazing. The restaurant itself is not too big with a nice atmosphere. This is one highly recommended place to go and have dinner.
