We went to Sunrise Beach Cabanas Resort for dinner twice while staying at the resort next door. Both times we went there the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. Meriam as well as her other female colleagues and Richard were amazing! I highly...recommend to try the island style food, which has to be pre-ordered. We loved our meals and the warm atmosphere at the restaurant and would definitely come back on our next visit!More

Gorgeous atmosphere and good food

Great service and atmosphere. The food was above average and prepared quickly. They have traditional food too. I would definitely eat there again.

Great Local Dishes

Sunrise Beach Cabanas Resort was next door to where we were staying. We had dinner here one night to celebrate my birthday as I wanted to experience some local flavours. The food was very good. We ordered the following: Entree of Golden Manioc Patties and...Organic Baked Kumalas, for main we had Island-style Poached and Baked Poulet-Fish Laplap and Coconut Crusted Poulet Fish. The portions are quite generous and the food is filling. No room for dessert unfortunately.More

A gastronomical delight

We stayed at this resort and dined there every night - the menu offers a great variety of dishes, including local specialties, and all food is organic and locally sourced. Good sized portions, amazing flavours and great service!

So good

So yummy!! Try the steak, manioc foccacia, tuluc, all the fish dishes, all the cocktails (esp pina colada and mud slide), and the spag bol! Delicious.More

Food is excellent

Food is excellent and the service is great with a very romantic ambience. Casual eaters welcomed but I suggest you book. There is a good range of local foods and produce but some dishes need time to prepare so book ahead and enjoy.More

Really good food

Quality ingredients and a great menu using local produce. Interesting dishes, not just the normal boring fare. Try the panang curry (beef or vego) and the leaf wrapped baked fish. Yum!More

8 days and nights - the best restaurant on the island!

Last year my husband and I stayed at Sunrise for 6 nights, this year we stayed for 8. We ate all our meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) at the restaurant - except for the day out at Port Olry. The food was great then and...was just as good if not better the second time around. I would highly recommend this restaurant - be sure to phone and book in advance to avoid disappointment if you are not staying at the resort!More
