We stopped by to have our brunch on our journey from Te Anau to Wanaka. Friendly owner, great food, great ice-cream, great set up of the cafe and even the toilet.

On our trip from Queenstown to Milford Sound we stopped here for a cup of coffee. We saw all of the delicious meals being served to other customers and decided we had to stop here on our way back. We enjoyed a delicious french toast and eggs Benedict with some of the best coffee we've had in New Zealand! Added... More

We were looking for somewhere to stop for lunch en route from Queenstown to Invercargill & were thinking that we were not going to find anything when we nearly missed this amazing cafe at Athol. Had a job deciding what to order as everything looked very tempting We ordered the corn fritters & were not disappointed. Serving was larger than... More

Stopped here for a lunch break on journey from Wanaka to Te Anau on a cold rainy day. Lovely minestrone soup and very welcome wood burner. Didn't want to leave.

We arrived in Athol on bicycles and although they had a function on that evening they were able to provide us with take away dinners. These were THE BEST take away meals we have ever had!! Thank you so much for being so flexible.

Stopped here with friends on our way from Queenstown to Te Anau. Lots of things of interest to look at, interesting décor, great coffee, great service, friendly staff. When we pass this way again will call in for a break.

Stopped here for lunch. Half way between Te Anau and Queenstown. We both enjoyed our lunch. I enjoyed a nice lamb roast. Was a nice home cooked meal. My friend did not enjoy her coffee though. We were in the middle of nowhere... so you can't really expect Melbourne quality.

What a great spot to eat. Surprised at the quality from a cafe in such a small town. I had the cauliflower and blue cheese soup, probably the best soup I've had. I highly recommend it with friendly staff and a homely feel.
