We ate dinner here and we’re treated to traditional lamb and chicken straight off the huge rotisserie they had going in the front of the restaurant. The waiter (son of the owner) was funny, pleasant and suggested we have the meal served family style. Best lamb and chicken I’ve ever had. After the meal the server brought ice cream, and Raki. The owner joined us for the toast and was so pleasant and charming. Definitely will return. The entire meal was less than 25 euros a person. Great deal, great food, family atmosphere, and fun people.

We had lunch in this delightful family run restaurant- 8 adults and 6 children under 6 including 2 babes in arms. We were made so welcome, toys available for the children. Food was excellent some of the best we’ve had in Crete

We went at 6.30 and it was empty, by 8.30 there were loads in.
We had some of the local handmade dishes such as pastitso and one that was a form of lamb kebab on pitta pieces tomatoes and yoghurt. Staff gave us some free melon at the end but forgot the oil with the bread. We missed out on an ouzo shot too. On the plus side there are some cute well looked-after cats that frequent the dining room and are very friendly.

We enjoyed our meal, but they did put crotons on a salad that was meant to be gluten free. Also, my wife found the chicken souvlaki rather chewy. That said, the salads were really great. Saturday night BBQ is supposed to be really good.

Came here with my kids (6, 14 & 16 years old) when we arrived to Crete! We were hot tired hungry and exhausted. As we walked in the restaurant, the hospitality was so welcoming and felt like coming home. We had different platters and every mouthful was just joy and comfort!
Our last day the kids insisted that we go back to have our last lunch there and again, not even slightest thing that I could say bad about this place! Recommend stuffed tomatoes and peppers and chicken from the grill! Amazing service!

It was by far the most lovely service we have ever seen combined with the best food we could imagine. It is not a fancy but native cretan cuisine for a fair price. We felt the passion for food in this family owened restaurant and can not wait to come back next year.

The tavern on the street invites you to sit down. The staff is very helpful, quick and incredibly friendly. The waiters speak German and English. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. We would gladly go back.

Thank you for your review even though it doesn't represent the truth. Your plates where empty when you were done with the food, except from the gyros. You have been asked if everything was alright and you replied positive apart from the meat that you answered that this is not gyros. When you were asked "how should it be? " you didn't answer.
P.s. the gyros plate you knew exactly how it was before you order it because you were staring at the table near you, in which they have ordered two plates of gyros.
In any case thank you again for yor review even though it is not completely true.

Lovely food, not much of an outdoor space, they have a couple of tables outside by the parking and the road. We enjoyed being inside though. They have a kids area with toys which was great for us.

We had such a nice dinner at Louros/Koyros tavern. The service was very very friendly, and the food was very nice. We thought that we had the best zucchini balls ever. Warmly recommend the taverna.

Very good Greek food (we have Tzatziky with garlick bread and Gyros) at great prices. Very friendly staff. Possibility to come with a dog.

Great spit roasted meats - we had a selection of pork, chicken and lamb all of which were delicious. Not terribly hot so I think they’d come off the spit a while before we ate. With amazing oven potatoes, tzatziki, Greek salad and bread and half a carafe of wine bill came to €35. Friday night gives an added bonus of Greek music and dancing which you are encouraged to join in with.

Stopped by for a snack, darn good food! I'm not sure why there were lesser reviews, this is a good place. Spent an hour on the patio, great views, good service, and all around nice place.

Excellent! Nice cuisine, friendly staff, well positioned, great variety! The menu includes many Cretan dishes nicely cooked. Meat dishes are of high quality. Try also omaties and berates.
