Food to savor with your mouth and eyes, in a welcoming environment.
Italian without shortcuts with fresh ingredients, rich in flavor and excellent plating.
Careful service, always helpful and incredibly friendly.
High-end restaurant without the pretentiousness, ideal for a visit as a couple or with friends.
I highly recommend it, it's been a 1 hour round trip for six years, I've never regretted it.

Excellent in every way. Welcome and meals.
The staff advises you on dishes according to your tastes, the same goes for accompanying drinks.
The cocktails are super well served and excellent.
Big advantage: French is also spoken there!
Small downside: It's a little noisy (but in Portugal all restaurants are noisy!)

Francois serves truly excellent Italian food in an elegant unfussy atmosphere in a small village outside Amares. We love traditional Portuguese food, but after 2 weeks in the country we were looking for a change. We went in expecting decent pizza and instead enjoyed delicious pasta beautifully presented, excellent wine and attentive service. The food here rivals anything we have had in Italy…special touches like a Parmesan crisp atop the pasta and small edible flowers garnishing the plates. If you are within an hour’s drive Francois is not to be missed!

The food was exceptional, and the staff were attentive, and informative
We were staying about 14 mins away, and didn’t want to head back into Braga town. So lucky to have found Francois - as it exceeded our expectations, plus the food was so fresh and flavoursome

From when we arrived, our waitress was the most helpful person we could have asked for. She was extremely patient and answered all of our questions about the food, helping us translate to English. The food itself was some of the best we've ever eaten. Truly delicious and we would highly recommend all of the food. At the end of the evening we were struggling to find a taxi so they went above and beyond by very kindly driving us back to our hotel. Truly one of the best restaurant experiences we've ever had. Thank you Francois!

Super nice place and very friendly staff. We have been there more than once, always leaving satisfied. The pizzas are great, thin and crispy crust and tasty ingredients. The desserts are worth trying. Detail: there is plenty of space to park, with the restaurant's own parking lot.

We started the meal with a divine board accompanied by an equally good passion fruit sangria. The food was very tasty and the space was refined and welcoming. The service was equally incredible. An experience to repeat. We love it

Best Italian restaurant we went to in Portugal. Food made to perfection. Staff very courteous. Environment of the house very pleasant. We were recommended to go to Francois by our local host and we loved this place! Food was simply amazing, service was friendly. We had the pasta carbonara and a pizza.., yummy! We wanted a little break from Portuguese food for one night and this place just pleasantly surprised us - highly recommend to eat here!

Incredible! That's the word that comes to mind for the experience we had at François!
We booked a table early because we were accompanied by our 3-month-old baby and as soon as we arrived we were escorted to the place where we would sit.
We were attended to promptly and everything came with excellent timing! The food was super fresh, very tasty and in the right quantities! The staff were very friendly and attentive, with special thanks to Melissa who made our experience even more pleasant!
Overall, I can say that we had an excellent dinner and that we will certainly return!

This restaurant exceeded our expectations by far. From the outside you wouldn’t recognize the cozy and very high quality restaurant it is. All dishes looked beautiful and tasted even better. The staff is friendly, personal and have gave us great advice on the menu. Everything we ordered was amazing! The tiramisu is a must try (best we ever had!) and we also loved the croquettes. One of the best restaurant experiences we’ve had in Portugal.

I have twice ordered pizza's here to take 'home'. They were delicious, nothing to do with Pizza Hut or Domino's. Very friendly staff.
The terrace is very inviting with nice views and the normal Italian food looks good as well. Worth to try another time.

A great restaurant to celebrate my birthday with friends. Somewhat remote - who would start a restaurant there - but therefore easy parking. The food is excellent. The menu offers plenty of choice. Sometimes specialties are also available outside the menu. Excellent service that speaks several languages.

Very welcoming space with excellent service and very professionalism.
Great quality food, very good sangrias and delicious natural ice tea (passion fruit is something)
