Excellent food, friendly people!

Excellent food and very friendly staff. We ended up visiting four times, and were more than pleased every time. The decor is rather simple, but location and food are great with very warm and good humoured hosts. Definitely recommend!

delicious steak :)

we have visited this restaurant several times, and we are never disappointed, the service ia excellent, the food delicious and tasty local wines, even our dog is welcomed with open arms. My favourite is the steak, ita well cooked and tasty a very good portion, the home made croquettes are really delicious too. We will definitely be back

Great if you can get it right

This place is such a mixed bag! Great view, and you can sit in the sun (or shade if you prefer), right near where the buses come in if you're waiting for one. Open at lunch time which many places aren't. Not TOO hard to get a table. And some of the food is GREAT, have a look at my photos of the Crazy Prawns and the Breaded Mushrooms - amazing. The meatballs were a bit odd though. Good chicken kebabs. Service was quite random - waiter never smiled but did joke occasionally; one time (the meatballs) never arrived, so as it arrives bit by bit (tapas style I guess) if the interval gets too long you have to chase them up. So five stars for the best food, two for the less good, two for the service, four for the view. Equals about four...

Very disappointing

I have had good meals here in the past but the Iberian Presa failed to impress. The Jamon starter I couldn’t fault and the Verdejo was good. The Iberian presa had a faint resemblance to the description in the menu. A better description would have been stir fry pork in ho sin sauce. Perhaps I’m too fussy but I expected a cut of Iberian pork with a whiskey sauce, the Ho sin over powered the whiskey which I’m not sure was there at all, and some canarian potatoes would be nice. I don’t mind fusion cooking but this resembled a poor stir fry dish. Let the photos assist your judgement.

First impressions don't always count

El Imperio del Pintxo is a popular spot opposite to Playa Chica. We enjoyed a shared fresh salad and calamari accompanied by white wine and Aquarius lemon flavour. My friend, her mother and I arrived for lunch. We were tired. It was very hot and we wanted to sit in the shade. The only table available was for 5 people. First, we were told that we could not use it. We didn't feel welcome but a lovely gentleman who was leaving gave us his table. My wheelchair bound elderly friend distressed by the heat was refused to sit by the shade. The food arrived with Tomas. He was very friendly, warm very attentive and caring. He made our lunch very pleasant. Tomas and the lovely food made a difference . Thank God I don't rely on first impressions. Canarian people's joyful and friendly energy have been an important ingredient to our great holiday. Will go back to try the paella.

Lovely little place for tapas and drinks

Great tapas Great cocktails ( generous portions ) Fast and friendly staff We went here 5 times in 14 days, 3 times for drinks twice for food. We ordered the fried squid and it was amazing, we ordered a second portion right after. We then came back and had the the tuna tataki, and fries cheese. Both great. Staff is friendly and fast.

Relaxing evening meal.

Great food and service. Eat there twice this trip. Went back for the pad Thai mixed with Steak, clams, prawns with an excellent house wine choice. All came together with the right portions to enjoy. Good quality steak and all freshly cooked food. Service second to none. A great place to see the sun go down. Brought back memories of past holidays with the children and grand children

Best prawns ever - Crazy prawn

Super friendly and welcoming. Serving a selection of traditional and not so traditional delicious tapas style food. The award winning Crazy Prawns are excellent. Good selection of local wines and specialist beers (Belgian etc). Beautiful unspoilt view of the sea. Well worth a visit.

Terrible Thia Pad

The Thai Pad noodles served in clumps all stuck together more like undercooked pasta when I mentioned this to the waiter just laughed and said that is good when I informed him that it’s bad food then he couldn’t speak any English..
