The Paal6 has a lovely location right by the sea and is beautifully decorated. Also the Food is very nice, with some lovely choices and they are well prepared for kids too. Unfortunately the staff, with some exceptions who were very nice, is quite unfriendly and inattentive. I think this is a shame, because if it weren’t for this, the place would have received 5 points from me.

On our arrival in Julianadorp we walked to the beach & spotted this restaurant. After a stroll we went into the restaurant for a drink which ended up with a dinner too.
The waitress was considerate. She informed us which area of seating was least affected by the wind.
While we had to wait a bit to order we were happy with the location, the view, the ambience & the food quality.

We have eaten here so often, as we know everything on the menu. We have been to all the other Strandpavillions and nothing comes close to Paal6, except Woest in Callantsoog.

22.5 € for a 150gr. Fish is to much and the one gamba and four crispy cute chips was very funny sorry but that was a disaster dinner

Friends took us here during a bike ride on The Dyke
Loads of bike racks for fellow bikers
Huge restaurant set on stilts with large outdoors terrace directly on the beach

This beach club is perched across the dunes from Julianadorp. A stylish vibe with great beach views. Great quality and tasty food. It also has a kids menu and you can book a table on-line to catch the sunset.

A great spot to be to enjoy the terrace or restaurant and enjoy the beach. On windy days the terrace is an excellent place to be (and the other days as well).

This is a in a wonderful location looking out to sea. We only had drinks and chips but the food being brought out looked good. It is certainly worth the walk over the dunes for this location.

Visiting friends in Den Helder, we were taken out for the evening to Paal 6. A very nice restaurant overlooking the beautiful sandy beach at Julianadorp that stretches seemingly to infinity on both sides.
The menu, although a little limited was well thought out and what we had (salmon fillet, sea bass and Big Boy burger) excellently prepared.
On windy days, most patrons would be well sheltered, even outdoors but last night that wasn’t an issue and the sunset was superb (ok, that wasn’t the restaurants doing).
Parking across the road was plentiful and free, just a short walk over the dunes to the beach.
I give it 4 thumbs up. 👍👍👍👍

Paal 6 is one of the better beachrestaurant in the Netherlands. We had a very nice evening on a stormy day with magnicifent views. Nice apertiev od Aperol spritz outside on the terrace. Due to the wins, dinner inside. Started with the most delicious and tasty Tom Kha Kai and a fish main course of Seawolf with lobster pieces. Finished with coffee. Super staff who looked after us with a very nice bottle of Pinot Grigio wine. This place is definately recommended.

We got here thanks to the recommendation of our Airbnb host, and we were amazed with the location and the view. We got there late (21:30) but they were nice enough to give us a table and we could order dinner although the kitchen was almost closing. We had one of the best meals ever, we ordered 3 different mains and they were all amazing! it's true it's not the cheapest restaurant but it's totally worth it! The staff speaks good English and are very nice, would love to come back here and try other dishes.

Dutch beach restaurants keep getting better. This one has a great menu that goes beyond the typical Dutch staples and provides some high quality options that are very diverse in nature: lamb curry, fresh fish, spare ribs or great steaks.
The service is very good. There are many kids that make a mess, but there is not one in the service that is tired or perturbed by this. A definite recommendation.
