It has all been said. It is predominantly a meat restaurant but they do have some fish dishes. Plenty of locals, as said, always a good sign. Slightly more pricey than Santiago but not much. They are a bit pushy on the more pricey wines so watch that if it will cause you a problem, we took the waiters recommendation which was excellent but should be for€32. However I ordered a Spanish brandy which was €4 and must have been a treble and superbly smooth and limoncello with the bill so altogether no complaints. Would return next time we are here without question. Oh yes the food, sirloin in blue cheese sauce absolutely perfect and a roast chicken the size of a Turkey!

Went here for Sunday lunch twice when staying at HPB down the road. Owners put on a free taxi for HPB guests so drinking not a problem!
Great views and food is always excellent. Now have a waiter who speaks very good English which makes things a little easier although staff have always been very nice to us. Can be a little quiet during the week but Sunday Lunch time is great. Need to book as busy with locals which is a good sign. Recommend the pork Chops which are huge and the garlic prawns are amongst the best in the area. Combined with the local wine in litres which is great value makes this a good day out. Not cheap but good value.

We last visited this restaurant 10 years ago and never returned due to very poor meat and very slow service. It would have got one star from us at best. However, after hearing some positive comments we decided to pay a second visit.
Everything was much improved. The service was excellent and the food very good. An octopus salad was deliciously fresh and tender. The seafood crepe was tasty with decent chunks of fish although the sauce was a little stodgy. The sirloin steak Meson Rey was tasty and well cooked but perhaps not the most tender. It came with a tinned peach on top which was novel! My wife had prawns in garlic and loved it.
Our first choice of wine was unavailable and the waiter recommended a cheaper and perfectly acceptable alternative. Which says something about the place.
Overall pleasantly surprised. €90 for two including wine and a coffee.

Biggest steak I’ve ever eaten for a very reasonable price, well cooked and well seasoned. Incredible views and cheap wine. All very easy as they arranged a taxi up. Highly recommended.

We have been to this restaurant several times and have not been disappointed each time. The beef fillet was super tender and they even make their own fries. All the other dishes, such as the spinach crepe, were very well seasoned and super tasty. The service is not well staffed but is still very committed and friendly. We think the prices are good too.

Writing the review after the 2nd dinner. Food is quite tasty and they are generous on meat. Nice view as well if sitting outside. The chairs are uncomfortable but I would still return if I were again at La Gomera.

Great location high up on the hill with great views. Free transfer provided from HPB site. Very good meat but sauces seem a bit 'old fashioned' and too creamy. Friendly service.

After mixed reviews, we went here today to get a "picture" for ourselves. We had the house salad and a crĂŞpe with spinach as starters. A bit expensive for what we got. Then came two medium beef fillets with pepper sauce and barbecue sauce for the main course. Awesome! Absolutely brilliant and the meat was around 200g per person, which isn't apparent in the photos. Great quality at very good prices!

We visited the island of la gomera on this bridge of the constitution and it has been the best place where we have eaten. Scandal chickpea, exquisite chop and choco too.
Very affordable prices and very friendly service, we will return.
Do not hesitate to try almogrote.

As a Brit I'm continually surprised at how lovely the staff are when we go to Europe and this was our first meal out after arriving on the island. Was such a lovely evening with fantastic food and wine. Very quiet but the atmosphere didn't make it seem like it. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Visited this restaurant following a strong recommendation. We were able to get a free return taxi there, but maybe that was a special agreement with where we were staying.
We shared lobster Thermidor (main) as a starter. Delicious. Beautifully cooked.
Followed by sirloin steak. Enormous, more like a fillet.
Would need to upgrade from the house Red if we revisited.
Sat outside with views of the sea. Journey there takes you out and up the island which is interesting in itself.

The food was amazing! The service from Luis was excellent and the restaurant has an amazing view. You can see the El Teide and the ocean if you sit out in the patio. I will definitely come back for the great food and friendly atmosphere.

Lovely restaurant on the hillside overlooking the sea.
Excellent beef. I had the Entrecote which was lovely and a huge portion. Gazpacho to start with, which was very good.
Restaurant is a carnvore's delight. Will send a free taxi to pick you up and take you home too!

Having driven past this restaurant a few times on days out, we decided to give it a try. All the dishes we ordered were very tasty and generously portioned and I had a lovely piece of steak. It was an unusually rainy day when we were there but I'd imagine the views are nice otherwise. As with most places we've been on this island, the prices seemed reasonable for what we had. Definitely worth a visit.
