I am struggling to understand why there are no recent reviews. This would be an amazing Pastelaria in the centre of Lisbon...its not its in a small village. Luckily we were not charged rent for spending so much time there. The huge range is all delicious and it would be wrong to single out any one item but try them all especially the pastel de nata, deserts, bread and start the day with a ciabatta Americano ( bacon, egg,cheese, salad). Well done Lelo you are a legend.

We went to Lelo’s five times and it’s great. Good homemade bread (best we have had in La Gomera), lovely portuguese custard tarts, tasty roast chicken, freshly squeezed OJ and pizza. It’s a nice spot just back from the seafront with tables under the trees or you can takeaway and eat on the breakwater on the beach. Also friendly owners who hail from Portugal. Recommended.

Careful or you'll miss this behind the front next to the medical centre.
Fabulous little bakery does bread, cakes,coffee and savouries. Portugeuse tarts are to die for and almond cakes nearly as nice along with a good coffee. Sometimes need to be a little patient but worth the wait.
Excellent value.

A jewel in the village. Beautiful pastries, so delicious. A must visit in Playa Santiago. We always make this a first stop in the morning.

Chanced upon this coffee shop / bakery which is so much more comfortable than nearby bars. Tasty Pastel de Nata. Good selection of breads and pasties. Thoroughly recommend a visit. Next door there is a shop selling reasonably priced hats amongst other items.

We would go here in the mornings for a cortado and Portuguese tart but there is a wonderful selection of other cakes and pastries to choose from. Very cheap - 80 cents for a coffee. A must if you like a sweet treat.

It was our morning routine to walk down the steep hill to this bakery for a coffee and a delicious cake. Very, very busy all the time and all the locals use it. nice seating outside and inside.

We stayed for 3 days in Playa Santiago and this became our "go to" bakery for breakfast goodies in the morning and for bread to take with us for picnics on our walks.

If I had to choose somewhere in the world for my last coffee and cake, it would be here. The range and quality is amazing and it is run by wonderful people. There is nothing I would change. They work so hard and produce wonderful cakes and pastries, not to mention the pizzas and roast chickens. The bread is very very good and I could easily eat there more than our normal twice daily visits

The cakes from here are fantastic and as most things are €1 they're really good value too. The natas were really good but the churros on Sunday were a bit disappointing - greasy and overcooked.

A great little Portuguese cafe. Wide range of cakes, pastries and breads. If you like Portuguese pastries you will love this place. Quite small so sometimes difficult to get a seat but you can always buy cakes, etc to take away! Coffee is good and prices very cheap. This is a must visit place when you are in the town.

In early April the sun was streaming down on the small port village as we came across Lelo for the first time in our visit and we came again many times thereafter. The coffee was as we like it with plenty of milk if you asked for it and the pastries although not of the kind you will find in a French patisserie, are the best we found on the island. If you do not like coffee, the squeezed orange juice is a real dream.
